At the end of the tram line. Handy if you have business locally. friendly staff and great value. Good size rooms too.
Location Hotel staff very friendly and helpful Breakfast was excellent
Could not sleep well Bed uncomfortable
great calm room to the garden, authentic furniture, free parking, rooms and breakfast buffet for attractive rates. 5min walk to tram line going downtown.
The main receptionist was extremely helpful. The breakfast was brilliant with real coffee. The location suited our purpose being close to good public transport (tram) into the centre of Munich. Beware the cost of a taxi from the airport though; around 60 Euros.
Room comfort was good until night time when we got very hot under the duvets - resorted to removing the cover & using as two layers of sheets. There is also a small problem with soundproofing against amorous activities & snoring. Avoid the attic rooms - major headache if you crack your skull.
We loved loved loved the setting, the hospitality, the decor and charming Bavarian touches. The breakfasts were outstanding. The tram to central Munich was a five minute walk. Bikes at the hotel for great rides through adjacent English garden !!
Street noise in front rooms
great location close to a very calm part of the Englischer Garten (great in summer, a bit too remote in winter), Excellent Restaurant with traditional Bavarian food Rooms very pleasant good public transport connections to city center (30 min) and airport
fitness centre very small location of the hotel a bit remote
Double room is a bit small
This hotel was easy to get to from the main train station using a tram to the end of the line and walking a very short distance. The room was decorated in warm and relaxing colors. The staff was very friendly. The refrigerator in the room was handy.
I would've liked a free breakfast for the price paid.
Restaurant with Garden very good
Room a Little Pit too small
Beautiful hotel..lovely room, delicious food, and easy walk to train down the street.
The surrounding of the hotel, there is a park which my 3 year old boy enjoyed it. Also there are some nice restaurant.
It was our second time here to stay, as we had a great time here two years ago on our way to south of Europe. It is a nice hotel, but I was shocked by how the lady at the reception was so ineffective and unprofessional. She insisted me to pay the normal price, which was almost the double of what you get from this site, and it took nearly 15minutes to solve this issue. This is not a pleasant start. Also, I asked twice to turn on the sauna and she did respond "sure" with a big smile but this did not happen and I ended up not being able to use it. These things increased my fatigue after driving 10hours from Brussels.....
A very nice cosy hotel. Very comfortable, spacious room with comfy bed (a good sleep was had every night, though bed just a tiny bit hard for my wife), good storage space and good bathroom/shower. Quiet even though on a road – not too busy and good double glazing. Did not take breakfast but a nice touch was that fruit was provided in the room every day. The hotel is some way out of the centre but this means that it is away from most hotels and in a nice, quiet area, so it depends on your priorities. Free parking if you have a car and tram stop less than 5 minutes walk and very convenient.
Location away from the centre could be an issue depending upon your priorities and reasons to stay, but not an issue for us.
Friendly Staff Really nice hotel and setting Great beer garden and restaurant Good value for money
No AC in the rooms The lack of noise isolation in the rooms is an issue. You can hear any conversation in the hallway or garden and likewise you can be heard in your room from the hallway.
Great location in a quiet neighbourhood, connected to an amazing restaurant. Also the breakfast was absolutely fabulous. We are thinking of coming back for a longer stay.
Wifi could be better and TV could be bigger.
Too far from the centre 1.5-2hour round trip on the tram. Staff not very friendly and no air conditioning.
The Freisinger Hof Hotel gives you a warm cozy feeling and makes you feel at home; friendly English speaking staff; very clean rooms; included underground parking; their restaurant is exceptional and their wine selection is vast. Breakfast buffet had a widespread choice.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Very nice, clean, and comfortable hotel. We wanted to stay just outside of Munich and this hotel was in a very good location. Very close to the tram line #16 which goes directly to the main downtown area. Excellent breakfast, even if an additional charge. Room was very comfortable and absolutely spotless. Parking garage under hotel. Restaurant adjacent was also excellent.
Parking garage was very tight. On street parking was available, but only a few spaces.
We were looking for a traditional Bavarian hotel with charm and that was exactly what we found . the room was very spacious for the 3 of us, with my son sleeping ona spacious sofa bed. The main bed was separated from the sofabed by a wardrobe partition which was very thoughtful. They serve Nepresso in the room and had a welcome basket of fruit on arrival. Best breakfast spread I have even seen for 10 euros. We enjoyed a lovely quality meal at their restAurant also. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. We will definitely go back without hesitation. Very convenient to the airport because it is on the road into Munich town but far enough that you don't have to fight town traffic.
It is not in town However the tram station is right outside practically . 20 minutes commute to town centre.
The hotel was beautiful. We had a pleasant evening in the garden of the restaurant. The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, we were able to order omelette which made a wonderful change.
A fantastic place to stay in Munich! The restaurant is also terrific. I highly recommend this hotel!
Close to tram station to get to town. Lovely staff, comfortable room albeit a bit small.
Difficult to eat at hotel restaurant, expensive and actually rude when we didn't have a reservation. Long walk to other eateries but a good Italian place (Caruso's) down the street about 15 min. walk.
Very quiet, clean, flowers all over the place, very good restaurant nearby
Rather warm in the room, not clear if there is air conditioning
The warm welcome of the staff. The personal touch in the room, like fruit and chocolates. Free wifi in the rooms. The quiet location of the hotel, free parking and an excellent breakfast.
Really tall people should check which room they are booked in. The room we stayed in had a sloping ceiling which made it impossible to stand straight beside the bed.
Beautiful facilities. I enjoyed being near the park. Room and bathroom were spotless. Happy with the private parking. Although we were in front of the building, the room was very quiet with the window open. We ate dinner at the restaurant of the same name (next door). Wonderful dinner and service.
The room was very warm being under the roof. The bathroom heater was cold so didn't seem a factor. When we opened the window then we heard the loud street noise. However, it was our fault we should have had it opened during dinner to cool off.
its a very good place for visiting a match of bayern Munich , i visit them again when i be there
