I have been to that part of the eifel very many times over...
I have been to that part of the eifel very many times over the years and they are many activities and things to do in the area. It is easy to visit the local towns of Schleiden, Gemund and Kall and there many activites and places of interest in the area in cluding the Mosel River, Koln, Aachen etc.

Schleiden is quite small, but it does have all the necessaties: a pharmacy, a couple restaurants/bars, supermarket and a gas station for instance. The village is easily accessible and if you want you could even walk from there to park Eifel (aprox. 13 km). We ate at Taverne Samos, and it was good food! It was incredible with everything we expected and more. The hosts were very friendly and explained how everything worked. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom. Supermarkets were in the neighbourhood. There were some welcom drinks in the refrigerator. The kitchen was very well equipped

From the moment we stepped through the entrance, we were greeted with warm smile and good service. This hotel truly knows how to make guests feel special. They made sure we had all the information we needed for a comfortable stay and even provided some excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options. The hotel's location was ideal, it is near Eifel national park attractions. I can only recommend Hotel Haus Salzberg garni.

The appartement is spacious, fully equipped and comfortably decorated. It's clean and the WiFi is great. The garden is at your disposal and equipped with lots of seating. Dogs are allowed at this accomodation which was a great plus for us. The house is located right beside the forest so you can have a nice walk whenever. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room is cosy and the bed (room) is very comfortable. Everything was clean and looked proper. The host was very friendly and gave some good tips for attractions to visit close by (for instance Vogelsang IP). And the location is perfect, hiking trails start right around the corner and there is a restaurant within 5 minutes walking distance where delicious schnitzels (and other dishes) are served.
