Hotel Georghof Berlin  

Excellent location on the S-Bahn route for easy travel to Schonfeld airport in 30 minutes, and on the U-Bahn for travel to AlexandaPlatz in 10 mintues. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was fine too. The hotel had few facilities as such but it is a great base from which to explore the city. The room also had a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities

The hotel is very near the S-Bahn line. Rooms at the back directly overlook the line which is only 20 - 30 yards away. With the windows shut, I wasn't disturbed by train noise at all, and slept well, although I'm a light sleeper. However if you like windows open, or need them open in summer the noise could be a problem. The room had TV but I couldn;t find any english language channels.

Impossible to sleep at night because of train rumbling

Its a Golden Tulip hotel. I paid 37 euros for a perfect room(everything is clean and new) and a perfect breakfast. The room face the train rail, but if you close the window you will hear nothing, I slept very well every night. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the metro and a shopping mall. Girl at the reception is very helpful. Very good hotel.

The main advantage for the hotel is free parking in courtyard and free wi-fi in the rooms. Hotel stuff are very good and breakfast also is ok.

May be small disadvantage is rail road which is going just next to hotel, but if you keep window closed then you cant hear it at all and above mentioned advantages fully compensate this.

Friendly staff

Located in a quiet area near major transportation stations. This is not the the first time I stayed there and it is easier to come to a place I am familiar with.

Neat clean rooms, very accommodating staff, kettle in room, free wifi, they have a lift, 24hr reception, they will accept your luggage if you have to move out of other accommodation prior to checkin time and they have smoking rooms.

They put us in a twin room to start with when we specifically booked a double bed...they said they weren't available so I think there is a miscommunication between the booking site and their 'actual' availability records. They were more than happy to change it the next day when one became available. The breakfast was only available until 10am...we are late risers. The wifi cuts out at about 1am...we are late going to bed.

Convenient location near U-bahn station. Friendly, helpful staff. Good value rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet.

I have booked 3 non-smoking rooms however 2 of them appeared to be with distinctive smell. Hotel is quite old and needs renovation. Stuff on reception was not polite. Late check-in time - 14:00 and not possible to check-in if you arrive one hour before. Near is U-bahn and S-bahn and busy road, upper floor rooms under the roof are noisy during the rain.

Very good hotel with good connections (U-SBahn-Bus-Tram) for visiting Berlin. Nice staff, clean rooms, good breakfast.

A little bit noisy , being located very near S-Bahn railway. So keep windows locked.
