The location was excellent, directly on the Rathausplatz in the Altstadt section of Kempten. Perfect location for anyone attending a conzert/show at the Big Box, as it's a only a 10-15 min walk through the pedestrian zone. The hotel staff was competent and helpful. We had a three-bed room that was large and comfortable, with a flat screen tv and plenty of closet space for clothes. Breakfast was adequate, and the large thermos of coffee at each table was a nice touch. Plenty of food choices around the hotel. The Bistro 30 meters from the hotel door had the best pizza I've ever eaten. I would definitely stay here again.

I was completely satisfied, but if I were pressed to identify improvement areas I would say the decor of the room could be upgraded and the housekeeping could be a bit more thorough. Parking, although available, was tricky, as there were only a few "free' spots outside the hotel, and the parking garage is small and could be challenging for those with larger vehicles. The cost for the garage however was very humane at 4,50 Euro a night.

It is a lovely traditional hotel. It had character so lacking in so many modern hotels. It was clean and very attractive. The location was great for sightseeing and convenient to restaurants and shopping. The breakfast was also very nice and offered a variety of choices.

The hotel's location is superb - right on the main town square in Kempten (overlooking the christmas markets which were on during our stay). We went there for a short break to relax and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The hotel is charming, in a traditional German style, with many historical maps and pictures on the wall. Cleanliness was excellent and staff even better, very friendly and went out of their way to help and offer advice. We dined in the historical restaurant in the basement which had a great atmosphere and lovely food. Kempten is also a very nice place to stay for a short break, with a beautiful old town and great shopping. I highly recommend Kempten, Allgau and the Fuerstenhof!

Der Fuerstenhof is located between Iller river and Basilica. So, the location is good. As I had an appointment at Hochschule Kempten, the location of the hotel was the best. Especially the price is nice. We stayed 1 night and 2 days with 3 adults. But the price was 105.00 Euro. The service of staff and breakfast was wonderful.

Visited Hohenschwangau & Neuschwanstein (book online to avoid queueing), Wieskirche & Linderhof.

For a single stopover during a long trip, we booked the suite for our family of four at a very good price. The suite was extremely spacious if you compare it with the usual 'family room' offerings and provided great panoramic views on the central square and its surroundings. Breakfast was included and -typically German- sumptuous. A great stay and we would do it again.

Staff were superb. Their command of English was remarkable. Their pride in the hotel, town and country were exceptional and they gave us interesting information about the town's history. The breakfast was amazing and included sparlkling wine and smoked salmon! Eating and walking round the town was a pleasure and there was a lovely atmosphere and great cafe society.

Being in the centre of the town, it was slightly noisy with the window open.
