This hotel is located in the Hartl Resort, offering wonderful panoramic views of the Rottal (valley) and the golf courses on the south side of Bad Griesbach-Therme.

The hotel offers an ideal and unique combination of wellness, activity and leisure. The spacious health and wellness area (3.300 m²) with outdoor and indoor pool (28° to 36°C), hot whirlpools, sauna, solarium and steam room are the heart of the hotel.

If the weather is nice guests can relax and unwind bu sunbathing on the lawn.

Food & beverage

From the cosy and informal to the stylish and elegant, each of our six "Stüberl" has its own special charm. All areas are non-smoking.

Our show-piece is of course our "Fürstenstube" ("prince's parlour"). This, the most elegant of our restaurants, will tempt you with à la carte dishes from the rivers and the sea.

Your day begins with a varied and comprehensive breakfast buffet. Every day we present an additional special offer.

When the mornings are warm enough, you can also enjoy the new day in the fresh air, high above the Rottal on our unique panoramic terrace, which tempts you outside to enjoy your first meal of the day.

At lunchtime we serve a small à la carte selection of our culinary delights in our restaurant.

We will also be happy to serve you healthy snacks throughout the day, either in the pool bar or on the terrace. In the afternoons, our "Hallenbar" invites you to small "Schmankerln" and fresh cakes daily.

In the evenings we serve a daily changing dinner selection in our restaurant. On Tuesdays you can expect a themed buffet with perfectly matching decorations, while on Saturday we present a gala menu with a luxurious dessert buffet.

Room information

You have 148 rooms to choose from! We offer rooms with canopy beds or four-poster beds, gallery rooms on 2 levels, or perhaps you would prefer one of our spacious suites with a breath-taking view of the Rottal. All rooms have been lovingly furnished and prominently feature local wood.

Most of our rooms feature a balcony or terrace with a wonderful view of the Rottal. All rooms are equipped with beds with adjustable head board. Bathing robes are included in the room rate. The suites are also equipped with a hi-fi system - bring your favourite music with you!

Area information

The hotel is located above the picturesque Rottal, with a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.

The spa town of Bad Griesbach with its thermal baths is famous as a big Nordic Walking centre and also the large golf resort in Europe.

Travel information

Arrival by car from Munich:
- Take the A92 motorway to Deggendorf, then the A3 motorway towards Passau, exiting at Pocking or the B12 and B388

Arrival by car from Nuremberg:
- Take the A3 motorway to Passau and exit at Pocking

Arrival by train:
- via Nuremberg – Regensburg – Passau – Bahnhof Karpfham
OR
- via Munich – Mühldorf – Bahnhof Karpfham

The nearest train station is Karpfham where the hotel will collect you free of charge (by prior arrangement). Passau train station is about 30 km away - the hotel can arrange a collection for a charge of EUR 15 per person and trip (fixed times).

Arrival by plane:
- From the new airport Munich Erding you can reach us via the A92 (140 km)
- Salzburg Airport (100 km)
On Saturdays we provide a shuttle service from Munich and Salzburg Airports at a cost of EUR 30 per person and trip (fixed times).

Important information

Please note that building work will be carried out in the hotel bar and lobby for approximately 4 weeks from 20 October 2009 onwards. This will not affect hotel operations in any way.

Between October 2009 and February 2010 building work is being carried out to build a thermal baths area with an indoor swimming pool, various saunas and a relaxation room. The currently existing pool, sauna and jacuzzi area can be used as normal during this period.
