Good value for money. The bedroom is big and comfortable. Nice breakfast!
We'd travelled in from Munich (visiting friends) for two days skiing. Found this with less than a weeks notice and booked up as being very well located and priced. We dropped our bags off on the morning of arrival and were greeted in a very friendly manner; given the key for the room and told our bags would be put in there later on when it was serviced etc (this was around 9am so a good few hours earlier than advertised as check-in). Arrived that evening after skiing to a very nice, spacious room. Perfect to let us relax and unwind after a busy day.
As others have said, the wifi cuts out every so often but the 3G reception is good in the area anyway so wasn't too much of a problem.
The guest house was well placed a short walk from the town of Garmisch, the train station and the bus route to the ski lifts. Check in/out and breakfast were very efficient and our room was comfortable with good facilities.
It is a nice guest house. There is a separate entrance for the guests. There was a balcony in our room and a kettle. It was very clean and quite spacious. And the bed clothes were changed each day. There is a nice view on the mountains from any side of the house. The breakfast is quite enough: cheese, salami, eggs, yougurts, orange juice, etc. There is a really very nice quality for its price. Plus you receive the visitor's cards that give you a free usage of the local buses, snow express and even to get to Reutte by train for free and different additional discounts. One free entrance to Aqua-park, for example. That was a really nice surprise fro us.
There was a bit dusty hair-dryer but the room itself was quite clean.
We were really happy with our apartment, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. Both rooms had a splendid view towards the Zugspitze. The kitchen was well equipped so we could enjoy a hot cup of tea each night when we came back from skiing. There's also floor heating and we really enjoyed walking barefoot after a full day of skiing. The breakfast was included and was exactly what we needed to get the day started just right. There are 2 bus stations a few minutes away that will take you directly to the train station (Zugspitzbahn) and to the skiing resort Garmisch Classic. Also, the secure wi-fi connection made it easier for us to check on our business e-mails in a safe way. All in all we are delighted with our stay at Gästehaus Brigitte and we are looking forward to our next vacation there.
A microwave oven would have been perfect in the kitchen.
Close to train station, close to restaurants and shops, good clean room, wifi was working nicely, staff was very helpful about my situation (arrived after latest check in), breakfast was okay, lowest price I could find in the city at the time!
Fixed tables according to room number at breakfast, I had to sit in the extension where the breakfast was also served, it was a little cold in the extension. The rest of the breakfast room was nice and warm.
Big room, with floorheatig inc. bathroom. The room had a balcony and mini kichen. Central location was perfect if you are traveling without car. Bus stop around coroner, downtown and trainstation app. 500m.
Room was warm..but You can open the window..
Good decors Very pretty place
The owner (woman) was the rudest and least helpful we have encountered. She refused to fix problems with the lighting and heating of the apartment saying that we should leave her alone. When we entered too she was extremely rude and just threw the keys at us expecting us to figure everything out. She also charged our credit card before we check out. We had wanted to pay using another card - but obviously didn't get that option.
Breakfast buffet, free wifi, the staff was very professional and the room was niclely set up and clean.
The bed mattress was a little hard and the pillows were too soft. Also the shower had a drainage issue were the water would not drain as quick as it should.
Big room with desk, balcony with killer mountain views, bonus entryway, traditional German feel. Breakfast was standard German foods. Easy 5 minute walk to beautiful city center and Christmas markets. Rooms were very quiet. Owner was very quick to respond to some questions and requests when I was booking. Parking on site was a big plus. It was a little tight but doable even in our Rav4. Would definitely consider staying here again.
Didn't see much of owner except for during check-in and at breakfast once to give us a pot of coffee. Not bad but I missed the atmosphere of many guesthouses in Germany where the owner is a bit more congenial. Guesthouse is off of main (two lane) road in Garmisch and so sitting on the balcony wasn't very relaxing because of the noise. Could hear it inside the room when it was silent just slightly but I am a light sleeper and wasn't bothered by it. Internet was free but seemed to cut out every 30 - 60 minutes and was a bit tricky to get back in to. Speed was good when it was working properly.
Close walk to downtown Short drive to grocery store & laundry at Bed was good & our room included a nice kitchenette. Which made the stay less expensive as we could cook our own food.
Wifi extremely poor!
location between station and skilift; reasonable breakfast; spacious room; parking available
One of the best places we've stayed at in Germany. Great value, fantastic breakfast, beds were super comfy and location is about 20mins from town center.
No Engish speaking TV channels
I showed up later than expected (5:45 PM - last check in is 6 PM), but the lady of the house was very sweet and met me around to the guest entrance. The room was terrific! We got the one bed room apartment: the bathroom was clean, the mini kitchen/living area was better than I had expected, came with a full stove top, and oven! The room was comfy, the beds were nice - nothing to complain about. We slept very well. Wifi was fine too. Breakfast was included, but we were always up early and out adventuring we did not have time for it. I could not argue with the price, it is very reasonable for a mini-apartment and so close to downtown. The location is great, straight down the street from Edelweiss and the base, and lastly, only a 5 minute drive to city center. All around great place to stay!!!!!!!!
The parking was really tight, but it did not bother us or effect us greatly in anyway. Just a heads up!
-spacious apartment for the two of us -convenient to train station and downtown (10 min walk for train/5 min for downtown) -breakfast
-wifi would cut out a lot but we didn't use it that much so it was ok
It's better Booking.com let the guest know that there would be prepaid at the time of booking.
Location was good, we had an apartment so had lots of space, very clean. On site car parking included.
Very poor internet connection.
Very nice, spacious suite with both large and small balconies. Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good and owners friendly and accommodating.
Parking was a bit challenging. Traffic noise noticeable, but not annoying at night. Would be so nice to have an intermediate-weight blanket instead of just a heavy duvet.
WE WERE ABLE TO WALK TO THE BRIGITTE FROM THE TRAIN STATION AND FOUND IT TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH A BALCONY THAT FACES THE MOUNTAINS. IT WAS SPOTLESSLY CLEAN AND VERY COMFORTABLE.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They made all our tour reservations as well as dinner reservations. Great staff!!!
Nice room, nice view of Zugspitze, fridge, good breakfast. Wifi works but isn't overly fast. Just enough electrical outlets. Right next to a bus stop. 5-10 minute walk to the pedestrian center.
Infrequent bus service makes it tedious if you're relying on public transport because you'll go to the train station a lot which is 15 minutes along a busy (loud) road. Car noise is noticeable but not bothersome in the room.
Knowledgeable owner helped with sightseeing information and provided discount ticket for local transportation and attractions. Easy walk to center and train station.
Helpful and kind personel. Nice breakfast (eggs, cheese, ham) served in cosy, home kitchen. Big room with balcony, clean, bavarian style. About 15min walk to Ludwigstrasse, centre.
This place is incredibly pleasant. Its very close to the downtown area and truly relaxing. I would recommend this to anyone in search leisure.
