It was the best breakfast I've ever had at a guesthaus! Staff is very nice and quite helpful!
Rather difficult to find. Will help to add that it is located on the road behind the Agip.
paula is a wonderful host. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was more than adequate. The facility is conveniently located to the Center.. Definitely would return if the occasion presents itself.
nothing negative at all
The homely atmosphere and the friendliness and kindness of the owners
Perfect location. Very comfortable bed. Room well arranged. Big balcony. Huge parking. Excellent breakfast.
madame richter was so pleasant and helpful
little hard to find
Great location near the train station with lots of parking space. Paula was very hospitable and friendly. Delicious breakfast.
I felt as if we were treated as special relatives when we arrived. The home was warm and inviting; everything was comfortable and clean, and our breakfast was excellent. Our hostess, Paula Richter, showed us a very special time.
very nice and excellent service
The owner was very nice and considerate in setting up a common kitchen for all guests and providing useful items, e.g. the bottle opener and bottled water, in individual rooms. The breakfast was excellent, the owner keeping filling up the food plates.
Everything was perfect. Mrs. Richter is a very kind and nice host. The breakfast is really good and includes few delicious local chesses. The location is in a quiet area, not far from the centre. I really liked that in our room we had few book shelves and some of the books there were in English. My only regret was that we were there for just one night so I couldn't actually start to read anything. :)
Wonderful location, nice room, confortable bed, perfect breakfast and very helpfull owner.
This gaestehaus is in the perfect location for a visit to the Linderhof palace which I highly recommend. We enjoyed this palace more than Neuschwanstein castle. Paula, the owner, is the perfect hostess. She really made us feel at home and her breakfast is fantastic. She even ran us into town to drop us off at a restaurant. If you are spending a night or two in Bavaria, I heartily recommend this gaestehaus. Thank you Paula!!
Paula Richter is a great host. She works hard to meet all customer needs. Very comfortable beds and a great breakfast.
friendly people , quiet , near to Chairlifts & Mountains train ski
no elevator far from garmish > 40 min by bus
Host was really kindness and friendly! She always helps me. It was good location, couse I can walk about 3 minuts from bus and train station.オーナーはとても親切かつフレンドリー。欲しい情報を正確に教えてくれるのでとても助かりました。バス停&駅から徒歩3分の場所にあるので、とても便利でした。
Lovely room, nicely decorated with good beds. Beautiful garden and swimming pool. Clever little kitchen built into a cupboard was handy for making breakfast and light meals. Grassau is a nice place to stay. Excellent WiFi
The host is very helpful. The room is equipped with various facilities. Breakfast is awesome, plenty of food.
The bed sheet is a bit stinky.
the rooms, the breakfast, the location, Frau Richeter
Hospitality and kindness of our host. Large room and comfortable bed. Great shower. Seating area in room. Wonderful breakfast. Generosity of our host in every way. A short walk to town, yet quiet side street with plenty of parking. Great visit.
We had a memorable stay at the Gaestehaus Richter run by the kind and helpful Paula. It is minutes walking to town and a great base from which to explore all the beauty and sights in the south part of Bavaria. Stay here!
The kindness and hospitality of Ms. Paula. The flowers in the windows and garden.
The TV didn't work. Unless we receive the key of the main door, it's not allowed to lock it, but this instruction is not clear.
The proprietor was so friendly and helpful. The room contained bus and train schedules, information on local activities. Breakfast was big and delicious. Highly recommend.
Very nice, everything was perfect!
I will write this review with the disclosure that we did not actually get to stay at the guesthouse - despite having a confirmed booking in hand on arrival. Like many of you on this site, I spend a lot of time reading reviews and trying to get the best value for my money. I was really impressed with the 9+ review and was looking forward to my stay. In fact, I often decide to stay in a specific city based on the accomodation I can secure, which was the case here when I picked Oberammergau over Gamisch. Hopefully you (and the host) can understand our dissapointment when I showed up to be told that my room had been given away to another guest. Apparently the guest was 'sick' and asked to stay longer. While I am sorry for that particular guest, when a place is full it is full. This is small town and there was certainly other availability within a short walk that the host could have directed the other guest to. In my opinion, it is completely unfair for a host to negate on a contract that the buyer has to deliver upon (as a customer we get charged if we do not cancel within a certain period of time..but this does not apply to a host?). If you search online you will find that this host has done this before. The host took us to a place down the road, which she claimed was more stars. It was actually less stars (2 instead of 3), worse booking.com reviews for the same price. Hotel Der Schilcherhof if you would like to check. The other location was not our preference, which is why we did not book it in the first place. I can appreciate that the host was trying to be kind, but based on the fact that she has done this before, perhaps she just wanted more money for a last minute/drop in guest. We showed up at 6 PM, so perhaps there was question that we would not arrive..? Either way, this experience left a bad taste of hospitality for the town.
