Location, staff and restaurant all top notch. Definitely recommend it here.
Loved the food and the drink! The place is in a very quiet section but a few blocks from Olympic stadium and Partnkirchen shopping. Staff from Reception to Thomas Schmidt our waiter always kind and asked about our day and plans. It felt like home.
Internet was spotty. But like all old men l awoke at three and caught up when internet traffic was low volume. Still it was a magnificent place.
Nice breakfast, large rooms and large pool.
Hotel a bit run down, pricy, cost of parking, location not central to downtown or ski lift and staff, especially in reception, could have been more helpful.
Price quality was OK. Location OK.
1.Parking. 2.Logistics inside the "hotel" is terrible. This is not a hotel, this is a complex. Walking 200 m to get to reception. My child calculated, it took 75 steps in the number of stairs....
Very helpful staff.
This hotel is little bit worn out, needs a renovation urgently
The location was great - right next to the Olympic ski jump in Garmisch. Underground tunnel connects all the rooms so you never have to go outside in the snow and ice!
The room was too warm even with no heaters on, so we opened up the windows every day. Be sure to ask the staff about the parking or you will pay more than the 7Euro per day if you come and go.
The wonderful views, the perfect room, the delicious breakfast, the swimming pool, the helpful staff.
The location was great; the bus pass also proved very useful. The desk staff was amazing, not only fielding questions but making reservations when I sought information to do so myself...bravo! The bar tenders were excellent even creating a Canadian Manhattan each night for my husband. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very good; dinner one night was exceptional. Cudos!
The room was very warm due to heating; it was very cool/cold outdoors. Every time we entered the room we checked all of the radiators and they appeared to be off or on their lowest setting. We were not on the ground floor so we opened the patio door and nook windows which made it comfortable to sleep.
We couldn't access our room without either climbing a steep hill or using the eerie tunnel system with 59 steps. The place was built for the 1972 olympics and hasn't seen a carpet update since. We advertised 'spa area' is a public pool, guests just don't have to pay the fee. That is if you can find it in the tunnel system. The room was filthy, an awkward arrangement of non matching furniture. The place is in hearing distance of a train, very punctual at 6:30 am. We also didn't enjoy the groups of drunken men, singing in the courtyard one afternoon, and in the bar the next. This place obviously caters drunken crowds. This is at best a two star motel with no parking spots.
picturesque setting close enough for day trips to several interesting regional sites. excellent food at the attached restaurant, with attentive staff. Site consists of several building which are spread out, which is great for visual ambiance. but makes for a lot of walking. The "sport" designation is diagnostic. The under ground tunnels are probably essential in winter, but when the weather is warm, its shorter to walk outside between buildings. local bus pass was included in our package, which made in town travel simple with a short walk to the bus stop. Desk staff was very helpful (perhaps patient is a better word) in answering questions about how to arrange day trips.
a long trek to drag luggage.
