The spa was excellent and having it included in the room rate was a real bonus. Breakfast was very good. Room had excellent view of the Zugspitze. Replace sofa bed with two single beds. Include clock radios in the rooms: I called the front desk to request a wake up call. The clerk spoke in English and I thought he understood me. We received no wake up call but did get billed by the clerk for a bottle of water, which we never requested??? The water was deducted from our bill at checkout. |

The location is very good, which is at the center of the town. I can walk around after my dinner. And it is close to the rail station to Mount Zugspitze. |

Our stay at the Garmischer was great! It is directly in the center of the shopping district and is a quick walk to good restaurants and sightseeing. We had spa treatments that were not good at all. The spa area itself, that is available to the occupants, is very nice. But, the person who performed our massages and pedicures was not good at all. |

We loved everything there. From the very cheerful desk attendant who checked us in, to the spacious room-and bathroom, and the excellent German-style breakfast. It was overall the best experience of our vacation. |

Tremendously helpful front desk. Especially in the morning at breakfast time and when it was time to begin your day's adventures. |

Nice sized room and balcony. Amazing view of the mountains. Wonderful breakfast included with the room. The front desk was very rude when I asked if I could use a vat form but she did accept it. |

The proximity to the train station was good. The location of the hotel was right on a busy shopping street. The surrounding shops were geared toward skiing/outfitting and backpacking and also many restaurants. |

This hotel has a super friendly staff. They speak English fluently. Our room (#4) was a triple- two singles pushed together (common in Germany) and a cot for our son. I was concerned about the beds but they were long and comfortable. My son's bed did nothave springs and had never been folded. He slept well. The breakfast buffet included in our stay was huge. They had a variety of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, and even scrambled eggs and bacon. The hotel is downtown in the middle of department stores. My son and I took a short train ride to Mittenwald and a ride up the cable car to Karwendel where they had over a foot of snow in July while my wife went shopping in warm weather below. We did not eat here. Many restaurants nearby. Street noise starts early as loud students bike to school and street cleaners are working around 7 AM. The back side of the hotel may be quieter. There is no air conditioning (none is really needed) but that means you need an open window in the summer at night. You'd think there would be flying bugs. We didn't see any. |

Staff was nice; Breakfast was nice each morning; Location is perfect as it is close to shops and walking park (w/ music each evening); rear rooms have good view of mountains. No wireless internet, nothing for kids to do such as pool, playground, or weight room. |

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms nice and breakfast in the shadow of the Alps was nice touch as well. My negatives have more to do with bookings.com than the hotel. When we arrived, we were told there was no record of a reservation for us. I produced the receipt I received and it seemed to make no difference. Fortunately it was a Sunday night and there was plenty of room in the hotel but I wonder what might have happened had it been fully booked. Also, I gave bookings. |
