Beautiful Bavarian style rooms and common spaces, very well kept and managed facilities, excellent staff and delicious food at the restaurant. The location is one of the best in Garmisch, in the center of the commercial zone.

Wi-fi internet connection was slow

-room #23 needs renovation; -noise from the lobby at early/late hours(tourists); -old fashion TV;

Everything was great, hotel, location, food, schnaps, personnel and hotel owners, all at superlative. They are carefully with kids also.

Avoid Thomas Sprentzel ski rental in GP and you will have your dream holiday.

Very slow internet, inconvenient rooms on the second floor. Breakfast was poor without any bakery

The wifi didn't work

Our room was large and lovely. We had a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. Breadkfast was provided at no additional cost and was a wide spread of food.

Very convenient location to the train station and can walk all over town to shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself is charming and the staff was so helpful. I will definitely return.

The bathroom ceiling was very low as well as the shower. I am very short so it was not an issue for me, but could be for others. I don't know if all of the rooms are like that or just ours.

Beautiful hotel located in a perfect spot in town. Room had an amazing view of the mountains and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

The hotel is in the centre of Garmisch and extremely convenient for wandering aroung the town. The rail station for the cogwheel train to Zugspitz is only a few minutes walk away. The hotel is very comfortable and the superior room was extremely spacious with a fantastic balcony with views of the mountains. The bar and restaurant provided a very good quality of food for dinner and breakfast. There is plenty of parking available at the rear of the hotel - however, beware of the inconsiderate guests who arrive late and park their vehicle across the front of you completely blocking you in !!!! Unfortunately the hotel does not keep a note of the registration numbers of guests vehicles so you could be stranded until the gulity party decides to move....... The reception staff are very friendly and helpful as are most of the restaurant/bar staff although one waiter - knowing that we were British and spoke hardly any German - insisted on conversing in German (even though he spoke fluent English). If you do have a problem the reception is manned 24/7 and are available to sort anything at any time.

The restaurant was very good (food and service by the staff, but see comment below). With small childen it was important to be able to stay close to the room for frequent inspections. Also the location was perfect, close to Zugspitzbahn and shopping area in Garmish.

There did not seem to be a smooth transition between the closing time of the restaurant and a possibility to stay in the resturant and order drinks from the bar. It would ae been good to be served at the restaurant table fte whole evening. Also ordering drinks at the table in te restaurant was not smooth as it couldnot be put on the same bill.

Everything! Good food and happy people. Great views from room and restaurant. Nice staff. Good price for center of village. In the middle of the main shopping area with new shops all around. Supermarket very close. Great balcony and clean (can walk out in socks). attractive rooms. Elevator.

Hard to find things I didn't like. No perfect place, but this is pretty darn good.

Everything was excellent. The Breakfasts were really good, and the Dining Room was great. The hotel staff was very helpful.

Lack of air conditioning.

The staff are helpful and friendly, the views are breathtaking, and the hotel is 2-3mins' walk from the train station. You can sit on the balcony of your room and stare off into the mountains.

Loved the Location, didnt have to walk far to shop and had an amazing Staff. Breakfast was awesome and My Husband enjoyed the Sauna.

Parking was so small, and limited. If its fully booked good luck finding a parking spot unless someone drives off. Also internet in rooms are horrible. You will have to go downstairs to access the wifi.

The helpfulness of the staff was absolutely excellent, you immediately felt special and the restaurant was of the highest standard.

Well, I'd like praise this hotel highly. I can't simply describe the staffs there "friendly", actually they are more than friendly, they are considerate, sweet, and all with a sincere and warm smile, which is lack in most of so called friendly hotel/ hostel. Additionally, their location is great, several minutes walking distance from train station, and pretty near pedestrian area( city center) and tourist information center. I love their fabulous breakfast too, its almost the best one I've had in Germany. What's a pleasant stay! Surely I'll recommend it to everyone and I'll come back soon!
