Excellent location near the steam trains. Breakfast was unbelievably good! Staff very welcoming and helpful One thing only. The staff were allowed to smoke in reception and I could smell it in my room

Not travelling with a vehicle I liked the location being equidistant between the railway station and the town centre. Both only 5-7 minutes walk. Although staying for only one night, the en-suite single room was adequate for a longer stay. Staff were very obliging and there was a very good selection in the breakfast room. Although smoking inside was a problem in the past, this has now stopped but with the front door open and smokers just outside, the smell still wafts around reception and up into other areas. It's not all bad, sometimes you don't even notice it

Good location with an excellent breakfast. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. I would prefer this to the fruit that is provided. My room (604) had badly squeaky floorboards so I felt sorry if there were any guests staying in the room below because of the noise.

I have stayed here on two previous trips to see the Harz steam railway and visit the Brocken. On this occasion, there was a blizzard and strong winds at the top - very exciting if a bit scary! The train crew ensured it got through despite the elements.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Alt Wernigeroede Hof very much. Our room was a comfortable traditional German hotel room with modern bath and plenty of space. The breakfast was outstanding and the breakfast room lovely. The front desk was very helpful and even looked up train schedules on the computer for us. The hotel is located not too far from the train station at the edge of the old town and was quite convenient

We really enjoyed our stay at the Garni-Hotel, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for making our stay in Germany a very good one.

The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the city center. Friendly staff, cozy room welcomes guests with a plate of fruit and clean linens for the home. Lovely breakfast by candlelight. The hotel is very quiet.

A very comfortable quality hotel. The welcome we received was great names on a welcome board and personal greetings from the owner. who took us to our rooms for our approval . The plate of fruit daily was delightful touch and the breakfast was excellent. The position of the hotel was great a short walk to the town centre.

It ticked all the boxes-location to railway station,spacious clean and comfortable room with a daily fruit basket, a good breakfast, a lift for those with heavy bags. Some staff spoke English so that was very helpful.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage, man ist schnell in der Stadtmitte zum Bummeln und Shoppen. Die Ausstattung ist auch sehr gut. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir waren jeden Morgen begeistert über das außerordentlich reichliche Frühstücksbüfett. Es gab in keinster Weise etwas zu beanstanden. Wir empfehlen das Hotel weiter. Bitte richten Sie Frau Hirschfeld einen lieben Gruss aus von den Damen Mißbach und Kropp.
