My room was large and nicely furnished, the breakfast buffet was good, and the staff was generally friendly. Location was excellent for attending the Frankfurt Book Fair.

My room was cold at night, and the street noise was bad. I had asked for a wake-up call the first morning and did not get one (fortunately I had brought my alarm clock). There was no hair dryer in my room, which was promised on the website. I went out and bought one, since the front desk person could not guarantee that I'd have one for the morning.

Das Hotel ist einfach und schon etwas betagt (ein "fröhliches" Kasernen-Grau-Blau schmückt Türen, Gardinen und Teppiche), aber z.B. das Bad im Zimmer und auch der Frühstücksraum waren schon saniert/renoviert und relativ neu. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis fand ich angemessen, für das Geld (für eine Stadt wie Frankfurt und so zentral geradezu extrem wenig) erwartet man keinen Luxus.

Leider habe ich trotz meiner bei der Buchung geäußerten Bitte, ein Nichtraucherzimmer zu bekommen, in einem Raucherzimmer übernachten müssen. Das Zimmer war recht laut, da es direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße lag und ich wegen des Rauchgeruches die Fenster offen hatte, aber dem konnte mit Ohropax abgeholfen werden.

Zimmer war nicht besonders sauber; in der Dusche war etwas Schimmel, der Duschkopf ist fast auseinandergefallen und war nur provisorisch mit einem Band befestigt, was zur Folge hatte, dass überall Wasser rausspritzte
