We only stayed here one night, but wished our stay was longer. We arrived late so found our key tied to the front door. The room was lovely and clean and we had a great night sleep. There was wine and drinks available which was great. Breakfast was delicious, a huge range of dishes and tea and coffee available. I would highly recommend this guesthouse.
Breakfast was delicious and included; Parking was private, convenient and easy; the bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and amazing; perfect location with closeness to downtown but in a quiet neighborhood; staff even left us our key when we arrived late with a very friendly and welcoming letter. Thanks again!
Wifi only worked in the hallway between the bedroom and bathroom; the bathroom itself in need of a renovation, otherwise just a great stay all around
This was a great hotel with a fantastic atmosphere. I would definitely reccomend this place!!
The place is really charming and clean. The staff was really helpful and the location is really good, just 15min walk to the city center
We were able to walk to the center of town. Very good breakfast.
We loved everthing about this Gästehaus. Was a great location to town.
Never was sucessful logging on to thier internet but should have made more effort to have the Gästehaus staff assist me.
Located in a quiet neighborhood with ample free parking. Our room was very spacious and had a mountain view. Breakfast was plentiful with a choice of eggs cooked to order. Very helpful host.
Shower was tiny, I'm petite and it was tiny even for me.
-Great value, great breakfast, and very friendly staff.
Close to the center and great restaurants, friendly staff, good breakfast, quiet neighborhood, and good view of mountains.
Close to center. We had meetings in conference center, 8 min walk.
The cleaning was exteremly bad and they didnt change the towels for 3 nights
Close to town in lovely area Very clean
Poor wifi coverage in the room but that's not the end of the world!
Beautiful located in a quiet street on walking distance of the center of Garmisch with off street parking.Excellent breakfast and friendly service.
The bathroom is very small and very basic which could be a problem for larger people with the door opening in.The mattress needed to be replaced.
Staff was friendly and very helpful even though they didn't speak English very Very charming place with nice restaurant. Also people working at the tourist info (just opposite to the hotel) were helpful.
It was a bit confusing to try to find out which was the main entrance of the house. We mainly used the back door...
A very comfortable Gästehaus with quaint, clean rooms, good pricing, and an excellent breakfast. Matthias was very accommodating and we wish we could have stayed longer than just one night.
Great location--a pleasant, short walk from Garmisch city center. Very comfortable, homey atmosphere. Clean.
Grounds could be spruced up a little. The hotel (converted house really) has terrific potential but maintenance seems a little lacking. Wifi was spotty but usable.
We absolutely loved our stay in Garmisch and Hohe Tannen was a perfect spot. We stayed in Garmisch 3 days and Matthias was incredibly helpful and hospitable. He speaks perfect English, which was a huge benefit for my wife and I. He gave us great restaurant recommendations, attraction recommendations, and he's just very pleasant to be around. Our room had a balcony with a lovely view of the mountains. The house has a large yard and garden which provides a great environment to unwind after a busy day. We will definitely stay here again when we return!
Garmisch is great, and this is easy walking distance to main area downtown.
Oddly, the floors on the top floor are uneven in the room ... kept tripping ourselves. Bit warm upstairs too.
Easy access to walking around Garmish. Nice, clean Barvarian guesthouse just like we wanted. Atmoshere. Good breakfast.
Friendly staff, mind-blowing location, quiet area near town and an incredible buffet breakfast.
The room was spacious.
The room had a bad smell. We had trouble with the hot water in the bath and when we tried to call the owner (there is no one at the reception after 7 p.m.) there was no answer so we had to figure it out by ourselves. The hotel is dated and definitely in need of some refurbishment.
Matthias spoke perfect English. Gave us good tourist advice. Large room no. 6 which had wonderful view of Zugspitze and good balcony view of it. Excellent breakfast.
This is the kind of place that makes travelling memorable. Very nice, welcoming people, fantastic breakfast, walking distance from the center of Garmisch, and beautiful mountains all around. Just wonderful.
Great for the money and a short walk to down town
The staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was wonderful; eggs cooked to order. There is beer and wine on the honor system, with glasses waiting. We did not arrive during the specified time and the key was available to us. Would stay here again.
