Noise from the road

Comfortable, large room, reasonably priced and excellent breakfasts

A comfortable and clean hotel. Breakfast was outstanding, offering the most variety of foods out of the five hotels we stayed at on our trip through Germany and Austria; breakfast room was very pretty too, in traditional Bavarian style. Help yourself "honesty" bar next to the breakfast room so that you can get drinks after check-in has closed, as there is no restaurant for evening dining or room service etc. You make a note of your room number and what drink you've had in the notebook supplied, settling up when you check out.

Nothing we didn't "like", just general observations. Firstly feel obliged to mention hotel is right by the road and that whilst the town of Schliersee is pretty enough, this hotel is best served as a base to go out and do stuff, but you would really need a car. Meantime we travelled with a friend and her son, and the biggest grievance of our stay was that my husband and I paid for a superior double (rather than standard) double room. On check-in however, our friend (who had booked a standard double room) luckily got upgraded to a superior double room and was promptly given the key to a much prettier room than ours on the first level (with canopy over the bed, flower-boxes on balcony etc) whilst we were at ground level in a room that was definitely less welcoming and far less attractive. This made for a very grumpy first afternoon in Schliersee...although thankfully as a result of a less than savoury stain I found on the part of my sheet that was tucked down the side of the bed on the second night of our stay, the hotel manager very kindly billed us the standard, rather than superior rate, and was extremely apologetic and concerned. I should add we believe that the stain was very much a freak thing, as the hotel was overall very clean. We do feel strongly that we should have been given their room though. Folder/book in the room with info on what to do in the area would have been quite handy too.

Hotel and location were perfect. the restaurant (connected to the hotel) 300 m along the street was also superb.

Sehr sauber, wir hatten ein Apartment für den gleichen Preis wie das kleine Hotelzimmer, Super Frühstück, sehr nette Atmosphäre

Kein Haustelefon. Bei Fragen an die Rezeption musste man vom Handy aus wählen. Keine Info ausliegend über die Umgebung Nicht direkt in Schliersee auch wenn die Adresse "Schliersee" sagt. Ca. 10 min. bis Ort Schliersee.

in der Suite haben ein paar Details gefehlt: Klopapier, Zahnbecher, Duschbrause kaputt

- das Zimmer entsprach eindeutig nicht den üblichen Standards eines 3* Hotels: alte Möbel, quietschendes Bett, Neonlicht... insgesamt sehr renovierungsbedürftig und ungemütlich - besonders ärgerlich, da 1. die Bilder einen völlig anderen Eindruck machen und wir 2. sogar die höhere Kategorie "Komfortzimmer" gebucht hatten - Saunanutzung nicht im Preis enthalten - Frühstück wird Punkt zehn (und keine Minute später) abgeräumt

Frukosten var den bästa och mest innehållsrika på hela resan, trots att detta var ett av de minsta hotellen vi bodde på.
