Parking, very quiet, friendly atmosphere

There is no curtain for the shower.

Everything was as expected. Room was big and comfortable, place is calm, you can even listen a little bit the sound of the river. Owner very nice and helpful. I can't say anything bad of this hotel.

The view, location

Toilet smelled like smoke due to the ventilation.

The place is great if you are visiting Freiburg by car. The adjacent restaurant serves great dinner, the breakfast is nice as well and the rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable. Excellent value for money

It's on the outskirts of Freiburg, so the place is convenient only if you have your own transport

Far from city centre

The hotel is far from the city center, but the surrounding landscapes are very picturesque.

Roomy bathroom, well-heated rooms, clean and quiet.

Dim lights in corridors, no one in the front to ask questions.

NIce situation as the river ran along the rear of the property. Easy parking. Clean and tidy. Restaurant there served fabulous food.

Bathroom was very dated. Wifi didn't work and when we asked for room change as we needed the wifi was told we couldn't move.

Nice and quiet location near the forest. Staff were helpful and spoke good English. The restaurant served really good food.

The bathroom needs updating. There was only bathtub with hand held shower.

Excellent value in great location in a city running out of reasonable accomodations. Restaurant next door.

rooms- clean and comfortable. location- great for those traveling with a car (minutes away from freiburg but at a quite area with free parking space) breakfast was OK. reletively low price.

Fair relation between price and value. Clean, well equipped room. Bathroom clean, everything in good standard.

It is a bit off the city, Taxi takes 13 Euro. The design is very much 1970ies, but this is really not a negative point. The street is quite loud.

1 night stay as a transit hotel on the way back from the Alps. Despite it being the 'other side' of Freiburg from the Autobahn, it really was very quick to get to and easily found. Check-in has limited hours so as we arrived early it wasn't open. Rooms are a little tired in decor but were clean, comfortable and had what we needed. Shower nice and powerful and a full range of satellite TV. Evening meal was taken in the bier garden which was very good indeed and very reasonable. Despite it being on the side of the main road this was never a big problem. Breakfast was to a good continental standard and the owners were pleasant with good English spoken. Overall a good stay, excellent value for money and would serve as a great base for discovering the wider Freiburg area

The owner was professional, spoke English well and also did the cooking in the hote; kitchen.

Not a thing. The rooms were great.

The room was great however the location was not. There was no restaurant or take away around except for Gästehaus. Apart from that room were good sized, clean and staff were friendly.

Well, its a nice comfortable place with parking space for exploring black forest and Freiburg, I did enjoyed my stay here. All the people I met here were friendly and pleasant, I was surprised being interactive with other guests in a hotel, not a hostel. The hotel staff looked cool, but he was really helpful, not only traveling information, but hospital and car agency that I needed. Their breakfast and restaurant were good too, delicious food and good staffs. Surely I'll come back one day!

lovely place to stay, a few minutes walk to the tram station to freiburg, or the bus stops directly outside. Ralph is very helpful and informative, the lovely bar area is very freindly with excellent food at very reasonable prices. The rooms are large and airy and very clean, parking is on site and secure.

Our room was lovely and included a balcony. The hotel is out of the city centre in a quiet area which is what we wanted. The centre is very easy to reach as there is a bus stop outside. We ate at the restaurant one night and the food was very nice. Breakfast was also good. A very nice hotel.

Value for money breakfast and great location

Family run gastehaus. Generally a basic stay sort of place. Beer was good. Location very near to frieburg.

Short staffed, took over an hour to get served for our meal, basic meal not very appetizing. Very unhappy looking staff, bit off putting and not really welcoming. Will not stay again!

The room has the balcony with view at the mountain and little river.
