Room was dated but clean. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

Luke warm water and low pressure. After hour entrance was thru garage where laundry was drying.

Closed down after breakfast on Monday. Only our room then available to us. Really needs a residents lounge for Mondays.

Our hosts were lovely, the breakfast was very good, it was out of town and nice and quiet which suited us. It is close to the salt works, but nice walk into town, or you could catch the 840 bus from the centeral bus depo.

Our hosts were so very friendly. They had so much information about what we could do in the area. Breakfast was wonderful and so very filling. The Gasthaus was within walking distance to the Salt mines, and the scenary was beautiful. We would definitely recommend the Gasthaus to anyone who was going to Berchtesgaden.

We travelled as a group of 3 travelling friends and were so welcomed by the husband and wife who ran the guesthouse! They made great attempts at speaking English and were so friendly and helpful! Lovely stay :-)

Bed springs were very saggy. I put the mattress on the floor for support.

The owners were extremely friendly, service was courteous and quick and the food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, they even supplied us with guest discount cards and gave us lots of helpful information on places to visit. We found the whole atmosphere very comfortable and enjoyable. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a small family run Pension just next to the Salt mine alongside the Sallach River. The location is good for hiking and cycling. Contrary to other reviews we found the staff very friendly, the rooms clean and sufficient, and the standard european breakfast meant we had a very pleasant night there on our way through Berchtesgaden

Not much! It is what you would expect for a Gasthaus and you pays your money you takes your choice.....it was fine for what it is!

The landowner is quite nice and the food there is also good.

Good start up location for Eagle's nest hiking routes. Quiet street.

Old fashioned (probably early 80') tiny rooms with over used mattraces. No place to store bikes. Wifi only inside the restaurant, which closes at 10/11 pm. We were 10 minutes late upon check out (10 am) and the Lady knocked on our room 3 times. The most unfriendly hotel staff I ever met. Overpaid for the servis and comfort.

Very nice place to stay for an acceptable price that I may recommend. The family restaurant is very nice with good food.

Theo and his wife were the most gracious hosts,who could not do enough for their guest. The food was good at a reasonable price, the location and the building are exceptional. Just across the street you can view the "Eagle Nest". I regret that I only had time to spend one night at this location.

Great family run hotel. Very friendly, homely, informal atmosphere. Warm people and fantastic cooking... Nice surroundings, few minutes from Salzburg and even closer to the Eagle's Nest. All in all great value for money.

My room was very cold during the nights. Well even it's almost summer, still it's Alps...

Good location

Despite arriving at the suggested time the reception was closed and we brought into the hotel by the backdoor - not a pretty route! Not very welcoming hostess. Room okay but cheap and non-matching furniture. For this price I expected more and this hotel compared poorly with all the others on our trip.

Wir bekam bei der Ankunft sofort Informationmaterial von der Umgebung und Tips für Unternehmungen. Beim Frühstück wurde immer nachgereicht. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Hotel.

Älteres Haus mit Renovierungsstau.Die in anderen Bewertungen schon angesprochene schroffe Art der Eigentümerin haben wir auch kennengelernt. Dies hat sich leider erst bei der Abreise geändert. Der Wirt ist aber deutlich umgänglicher.

Das gute Essen und die familiäre Atmosphäre. Die Gemütlichkeit der Gaststube. Die Wirtsleute und der Sohn sind bemüht, die Wünsche wenn möglich zu erfüllen. Das Zimmer ist zwar klein sowie das Bad aber sauber.

Leider war das Ehebett aus 2 Einzelbetten zusammen gestellt, wodurch der Zwischenraum ca. 8 cm betrug. War für uns unbequem, da wir uns gerne zusammenkuscheln. Zudem sind die Matratzen nur sehr einfach. Die Balkontüre (Fenster war nicht vorhanden, da kleines Zimmer) war nicht zu kippen, daher keine Belüftungsmöglichkeit während des Schlafes. Wir hatten bei der Buchung jedoch das letzte freie Zimmer erhalten, da Silvester. Dadurch evtl. diese Umstände. Das Haus hat lt. Auskunft größere Zimmer.
