The hotel was clean and 5 minutes from the city center. Being in a residential area, it was quiet. The owners were very kind. When I said wifi was not working well, they fixed it immediately. They also recommended ring tour (cable car - hiking - chair lift - boat trip), which was a great choice. And free parking was an excellent bonus. Nothing

We really liked our innkeepers. They were super and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel is great. The wood carvings in the breakfast room were very special as was the food. We didn't like the location at first because we had to walk up a large hill, but we found out later than the owners would have picked us up at the ship when we arrived. Note to selves: always ask the best way to get to a hotel. We liked everything, and it was the tenth hotel we have stayed in on our 3-month journey.

We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to any budget conscience traveler. The owners were friendly and helpful, the room was fine and the breakfast was fine too. It was less than a 10-minute to town and was very quiet which was why we chose the Hotel Rose.

My family and I were the only guests the night we stayed yet there was a large and delicious breakfast spread out for us the next day. We had a family room for three with 2 sinks and separate toilet and shower so there was plenty of room for all of us to get ready at the same time. There is an elevator and free parking across the street as well as curbside. The hotel is on a quiet side street but is close enough to walk to town (about 10 min to the Drosselgasse). Members of the family who own the hotel speak both German and English so it is no problem for most travellers. They were very welcoming, helped with luggage, and very friendly. My parents and I had a great stay and would recommend Gasthaus Rose highly as it is very close to many attractions but doesn't have the noise or traffic of the central part of town.

Joseph, the owner, and his staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. There are some things the reader should know about Rudesheim and about Hotel - Gasthaus Rose: Rudesheim is something of a 'tourist town', and there are lots of things to do and see. Castles, Wine makers, Restaurants, Shops, Cable Car lift to the Niederwald Monument, Cruise Ships for sightseeing on the Rhine. As such, your days will be filled with going and doing. Having said that, the point I'm trying to make is that there are probably nicer hotels than the Rose, but why pay more? For less you get a clean comfortable room in a hotel run by nice people. And, The Rose is one of the farthest away from the rail tracks, next to the river. Trains run on these all the time, night and day. If you stay in one of the hotels next to the river, you'll be able to hear them very well. Again, they were very nice to us at the Rose, and even offered to make us a 'breakfast to go' when we told them we had to leave very early in the morning. Free Wi-Fi in the Restaurant/Bar area, with a real hot connection (which is rare in Germany). The Rose is only a few blocks off the 'beaten path', but those few blocks make a lot of difference.

The customer service was incredible. The owner greeted us upon arrival, showed us our rooms and we discovered that the beds are short, long enough for someone up to 6' tall, but my husband is taller and for a small fee were upgraded to a junior suite which had longer beds and a separate living room with couch, 2 chairs, flat screen tv and an extra bathroom. Really worth it! When we went downstairs, she told us places to go and excursions to take and even phoned a few places for us. The buffet breakfast the next day which was included was excellent. Highly recommend this place. It is a 10 minute walk to the middle of town and parking is included which is a bonus since it's very expensive in town, and cars are not allowed on most streets. If you are tall ask for a long bed.

The owners are so friendly and welcoming. The location is good providing you don't mind a short walk up the hill, and there is parking available. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was all newly installed. The breakfast buffet was excellent in an attractive room. The weather was very hot and our room was very warm overnight.

Personnel was extremely helpful and nice. Location is excellent, walking distance to the main tourist area of the Rudesheim. Rooms are small and sound isolation is poor. Parking was possible on the same street, but a bit troublesome if hotel is fully booked. Cars are parked in several rows and exiting at certain time requires some arrangements beforehand so that you can get your car out. However, it was free and owner was really helpful and organized parking effectively.

The restaurant was not serving that night but I was given a recommendation for one a short walk away which proved excellent. As usual staff were very welcoming and friendly, even to someone covered in dead flies and sweat from the day's cycling. Not disliked but worth noting that it is well up the hill in Rudesheim.

Far enough from the railway line not to be disturbed. Good breakfast selection. Very friendly warm welcome from the owner, though she only speaks German and my German is almost non-existant. At the top of a fairly steep road, difficult for wheelchair users. Bar was not open when we returned at 8.30 pm so could not get a drink.
