Fabulous hotel, beautiful location, wonderful food both breakfast, which is included, and dinner which is etra but well worth it. rest views,peaceful,near many towns on Rhine and Mosel.

Paul and Mrs. Stahl received us like we were family. They make sure you are happy, the breakfast and superb and the dinners are excellent. The room was very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay there again

This is a wonderful guesthouse, really friendly, delicious food, generous and comfortable rooms, and set in a beautiful quiet village just above Oberwesel.

You really get the feeling you're 'part of the family' being a guest there!

We love the hospitality! The decoration & atmosphere attract us very much, details matter! The wine in the cellar are delicious. As a breakfast in countryside, Stahl did an amazing job to surprise us. Even better than those breakfasts we used to have in 4-stars hotels! We can even have a mix of mimosa as if it's brunch. However, we have to admit that the highlight here to us, is Mrs. Adele Stahl！Though she can't speak words that we could literally understand, we felt like we can connect with her in hearts! We hope we could come back one day!

As always Paul and family make you feel at home going the extra mile. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is superb, their own wines which you are able to buy are priced very well also. This is expensive but worth every penny.

The family are exceptional hoteliers .the breakfast was over the top. We ate dinner there all three nights. It was traditional german cuisine. We also enjoyed the wine the family grows and produces . paul ,his mom, and sister were the consumate hosts. We were sorry to leave.

The Gasthaus Weingut Stahl manages to combine the very best characteristics of a homely, family run concern, with a slick and professional operation. The hotel is decorated in an old-fashioned style which pays homage to the local wine region and to the original family guesthouse started in the 1850's, which is slightly kitschy but charming. The bedrooms are well proportioned and comfortably furnished, with flat-screen tv, good bathrooms, sofa and chairs and a very effective (and very welcome) pedestal fan. But the real delight of the hotel is the common areas, which give guests the opportunity to mingle (if they wish), and which promote a 'country house weekend' feel. The outdoor terrace was wonderful for a pre-dinner drink and later dinner, and the opportunity afterwards to visit the "Weinkeller" (downstairs wine cellar) for a free tasting of the family estate's wines gave us the chance to chat (and drink!) with other guests,and a memorable "party night" ensued. The meals are amazing - the breakfast was probably the best one we have had in Europe, with everything one could wish for, including freshly made waffles and home made cheesecakes for those with a sweet tooth. The dinners were also excellent, and after the first night there, we didn't even think about going anywhere else in town. Prices for dinners and wine were remarkably good value, and Paul, his family and staff provided friendly and efficient service. A wonderful way to end our trip, and a memorable experience overall!

This is the most comfortable and pleasant hotel we stayed in this trip. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was of excellent quality and included a wide range of food selections. The food was fresh and of good taste. The location of the hotel is a bit remote but as such it provided a calm rural environment. If you want to experience home-like German culture and environment, we would recommend you to stay here.

Great location above the Rhine valley, offering the opportunity for a short (2 km) fun drive up a serpentine road. Very friendly staff (actually mostly family as far as I understood) going out of their way to make you enjoy the stay. Nice, laid-back wine tasting offered - take home a case or two at good prices. Amazing breakfast! We'll be back.

This is the second time that I have stayed at this lovely little Gasthaus. As before the hotel offers very good facilities (3*) in a quiet village location. The staff are excellent and very friendly and the food is first-class, especially the really huge breakfast (the biggest and most varied I have ever come across!). The 'eggs from happy chickens' remains a feature. I would thoroughly recommend this little hotel to anyone wishing to holiday in the region or as a stop-over point for one or two nights (as I did) onto other places.

Sehr schönes, individuelles Ambiente. Alles sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll gestaltet. Freundlich und familiär. Ein Frühstück mit allem drum und dran, genial!!!! Hervorragendes Essen, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut.
