This charming hotel enjoys a quiet location in the Hochdorf district, 4 miles from the center of Freiburg. It offers traditional rooms, a country-style bar and free parking. All of the non-smoking rooms at the Gasthof Zur Sonne include cable TV and a modern bathroom with shower. A breakfast buffet is provided daily in the cozy breakfast room of the Gasthaus zur Sonne. Perfect stay in the Hotel. Friendly people in a family runned pension. Breakfast is good! Recommended. We will come back. Located in a small village next to the highway. Be aware if you have a small dog (mention this when you make a reservation!): dog is allowed in your bedroom but not downstairs in the dinerroom / breakfast room.

The staff was so friendly and helpful in all things. The evening meal and the breakfast was first class. We were sorry we could only stay one night. Next time we plan on staying longer! Great value for the money. Ron McMann

Clean room, the location is very quiet. You can stop for dinner with good food and honest prices As others have written, it is not so easy to find the owners of the Gasthaus to check in... You need to get to 2nd floor and ring at the door. The rest is ok.

The lady running the bed and breakfast was very kind and friendly. There appears to be no quiet hours. People were loud when leaving the pub next door till 0300 hours. Room is very warm and small and there are no fans in the rooms. Traffic on the street was busy during the night and early morning. The bed was very uncomfortable.

The Gasthaus is better than it appears at first sight. The hotel Gasthaus has nothing similar to a hotel lobby and at your arrival you find it hard to understand how to get in touch with the staff.

A budget hotel, clean and tidy. Value for money considering the price included breakfast. Though check-in time was 10:00PM, had no problem when I reached at 11:15PM. Locatoin could be bit confusing, but my GPS had no problem locating. the room floor squeaks and i was bit worried the activities of my 3 year old would make too much noise.

Prima hotel met goede keuken onderweg naar de sneeuw. Goede no nonsens service maar ook schoon en gezellig. Veilig parkeren op eigen terrein voor de deur.
