Hotel - Gasthof Gebirgshäusl  

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Gasthof Gebirgshäusl - the room, the staff, the food -- all were great.

The friendly service of the entire staff and the excellent restaurant.

Friendly staff, great food, overall very nice accommodations, close to area tourists attractions like the Salzbergwerk and Kehlhaus. Great value for the price.

While on a well-trafficked road, Hotel Gasthof was well entrenched in the alp area so we could access eagles nest, the salt mines, Konigssee lake, Jenny mountain and so many other destinations. You could also use it as a base for Salzburg since it is only 36 minutes drive or bus trip away. The hotel staff was awesome, hard working and just plain nice. The food was terrific and breakfast all one could imagine.

Sound of traffic, especially when windows were open was annoying, but settled down as the evening went on. While the hotel had a very nice atmosphere and surrounding, a bit more care into the outside gardening and upkeep would make it even nicer. Maybe it was just the time of year (last summer, early fall). Wifi signal needs improvement. Another traveler and I could not send messages or it took forever. Often, we could only get a signal at the table closest the cashier. These are just minor items, not major problems.

Rooms clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and convenient for Berchtesgaden as long as you have own transport.

We arrived late and no real effort to engage with us or show us facilities. We were on top floor and room was very hot and a bit of a struggle with bags up steps.

We choose this hotel because of the rate which is 8.6, but the hotel is not as good as the 8.6 from our expectation. 1. It is really noisy, close to the road, you can hear the noise in the morning and wakes your up 2. Food is not good 3. One waitress from this hotel speak very loud when we have breakfast in the morning 4. When we pay the hotel in credit card, but we asked to pay extra 3%, besides that we also have to pay the tax. Pay tax is reasonable, but we asked to pay 3% to use credit card instead of CASH. This is the first time we pay 3% for credit card in Germany. The total price for each night up to 90 per night.

hotel is not new however the staff is very helpfull and responsive which make an appearance overall positive. the hotel is right on the road and the closest village is within several kilometers. They have wonderful restaurant, everything feels homemade prepared with lot of love. we found the rates very high and after one night moved to an apartment which was twice bigger and 3 times cheaper.

The breakfast buffet was perfect and a great selling point.

The road out front was too noisy, especially when it rained. There are lots of trucks going by this Gasthaus on the main road.

Breakfast is great, staffs are friendly. If you drive, it just takes 5 minutes to berchtesgaden, konigsee, or ramsau.

This is a wonderful family run guest house close to Berchtesgaden, Germany. We had reserved two rooms, but the owner generously upgraded our family to a very large apartment with huge living spaces and a terrace. The food at the restaurant was excellent. We loved staying here and really appreciate the helpfulness and welcome we received from the owners and staff.

Location was perfect for us because we had a car. It would be difficult to get here if you are traveling by train.

This hotel was in a great location and the staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was good and the room was beautiful. I loved it and will definately go back!

The hotel is really good. It supposed to be a 2* Superior hotel, but I would perfectly give 3* to it. The room was big and confortable, with almost new furniture (not modern, but not so classical either, good style) and the bathroom was even bigger. Food in the restaurant is also good and not that expensive. The included breakfast is ok, but it would be good to have some sausages or omelet.

I think the price was too high, but it was during Easter...

A stunning hotel with very friendly owners! The restaurant is very delicious and satisfying dinner! The hotel has very much liked, the family, which controls them, and does everything that the hotel was the best!
