The room and the view.

The staff was good but always so busy that there was no real connection. I asked the gentleman (owner?) when we checked in that I had parked out front in the only available space and was it ok. Hhe said there was no problem where I parked. Then we received a 10 euro ticket for parking to close to a handcapped area. They apologized but we still had the ticket.

I feel there should be more info on display as to what and where things happening..for tourists..suggestions of things to do and see

The hotel was beautiful. The room was spacious, I would even go as far as calling it huge, we had a triple room. The windows were large and the view was beautiful, we could see the mountains still covered in snow. Facilities were modern, the bathroom was well equiped and the personeel was pleasant. We were offered directions which helped us orientate around the city.It is indeed a small city, but it is very civilised and the sights are breathtaking.The parking place was right in front of the hotel, we had no problem with the parking being too crowdy there was also a garrage. The breakfast was good, it had variety and freshness. Also, for the tea lovers, they carry a great variety. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to get a nice stay and also enjoy the beauty of nature.

The hotel had no free wi-fi, but that wasn`t so much of a bother,as the view inspires you to leave your laptop in the room and enjoy the great outdoors.

Beautiful place with an amazing view in Garmisch. We loved this beautiful hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. Found a very small and wonderful restaurant right around the corner from the church. Best meal we had in Europe. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Will be coming back someday to this hotel!!

It is good 3 star hotel, no more extra. Not so much choise in breakfast. Hight price at Christmass days. I think this area full of same hotel. You can get much more better hotel for this price.

What a gem of a hotel,our room was at the rear of the hotel with a balcony,spotless spacious and wonderful views,on our second day it started to snow,wow what photos we have.the food was exceptional and thank you to max the waiter top guy,entertainment was perfect all traditional music and dancers wonderful to see they take there tradition seriously.found a lovely irish pub only a short walk from the hotel, warm welcome there. As for the place its just like a set off a movie the houses are beautiful, we will deffo be going back and to the same hotel "excellent" all round. Nothing to do with the hotel now but a tip about car hire,we picked our car up at the airport which I had paid for with hertz car rental here before we left, when we got to the airport they told us we would have to pay another 45 euros for snow tyres 15 euros a dey extra, when we mentioned this to the barman and regulars of the pub they informed us that snow tyres were compulsory at this time of year anyway,so they shouldnt be charging you extra for them,on returning the car I took this up with the company because they then told me I had an outstanding amount of 67 euros after much arguing I finally got them to agree and had no extra to pay.

We enjoyed our stay here - our room was enormous compared to others we have stayed in - definitely worth paying the extra for a room with a view.

Our Room -Though Expensive !

Found it unfriendly as an English couple travelling alone. An American group were treated with fuss and given Schnapps after their meal as were the regular locals but we waited ages to be served and never received any schnapps or asked if we even wanted coffee etc. We found it a bit like we weren't welcome.

Loved the hotel-great staff, wonderful food, views of the Alps from our room, and a biergarten you could spend way too much time in.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days and cannot recommend it highly enough! The staff were welcoming,cheerful and helpful on our arrival and throughout our stay. The room we had was spacious and beautifully clean and the bathroom had an incredible shower that was great to step into after a days walking! Our room was a north facing one and overlooked the fountain outside the hotel,it was great to wake up each day to the sound of cow bells as the cows stopped for a drink before heading on up to the meadows. The buffet breakfast had a vast selection of foods and was a much looked forward to part of the day. The hotel is located in the Partenkirchen part of the resort and was incredibly pretty. I would stay here again without a doubt!

Cows walking up the street in the early morning (with their bells clanking) were a sight to see. Still enjoyed hearing it even after the 35 years sinceI lived here. Great breakfast buffet and exceptionally friendly attendant. She was so please we enjoyed ourselves.

Everything! It's nice that it is not right in downtown, but there are still good restaurants and shops within walking distance. Bus access is easy.

Too bad the restaurant was closed on the day we were there.

The hotel is perfectly located in the older, more picturesque part of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The hotel has been newly refurbished; the rooms are spotlessly clean, well-appointed, large, open and airy. The view from the rooms in the back with spacious balconies is simply spectacular. The hotel is quiet and the beds comfortable; even on a hot summer day, the room stayed cool due to the cool mountain breezes coming in from the balcony. The breakfast is in the beautiful dining room; there are lots of great food choices and plenty of wonderful coffee. I have been coming to Garmisch since the 1970s; this is the best small hotel in town.

I loved everything about the hotel.

We were extremely comfortable in our large room with nice sitting area and great view of the Alps. The dining room was a very attractive room with lots of wood finishings that made it light and bright. The food was traditional and very good so we mainly ate there. The hotel is near to the pedestrian street which that has lots of lovely painted houses. It was easy to walk to the busier part of the town but we were given a card that would have let us go free on the buses. We also had a couple of nice walks around the edge of the town - high enough to let us see wonderful views without having to exert ourselves too much. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Our room was great! We had such a beautiful view of the city and the mountains. The beds were really comfortable. Loved the music in the dining room, I really was happy and content eating my strudel and listening to the music. What a wonderful experience!

Just that the church bells rang at 6 a.m. They rang a lot, they woke all of us up, its not a big deal considering how amazing the views were.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The inclusive breakfast was very good with an array of breads, cheeses, meats, eggs, and cereals. The location was very nice, very close to shopping and hiking. Every morning a farmer brought his cows, with cow bells on, up the street right outside our window to drink out of the street fountain. It was a bit noisy at 5:30 AM, but we found it charming! The room was plenty big, nice and bright, with a nice big bathroom. I would probably stay there again.

Although our room itself did not smell like cigarette smoke, the hallways definitely smelled strongly of cigarettes.

Very spacious room and bath. Incredible view from the balcony of the Alps. Very friendly and helpful family. Great restaurant....loved the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
