A bit out dated but clean and comfortable

Nice little guest house with English speaking friendly staff. Nice quiet location, and only a short walk to the beautiful lake. Only a short drive around the lake to the Andech Kloister with its great beer and schweinhaxen.

The manager, Herr Filgertshofer, was very helpful and friendly. Our room was confortable.

Car parking was somewhat limited.

This Gasthof is very very confortable: good breakfast and wide rooms! Diessen is easy to reach and the Ammersee lake panorama is wonderful and very romantic. I suggest to rent a bike for a lake tour and a little trip with the ferry boat!

On the good side: The bed was comfortable. The room was clean although the shower drain was clogged and water was standing under the sink. The adjacent beer garden is pleasant and would be more so if the two derelict vehicles parked near-by were removed.

There are two problem areas. The first is parking. The “free on-site parking” is limited. Come early or park somewhere else. Internet access is the second area. Our reservation said “free wired and wi-fi internet access in every room”. When we arrived, we were told our room had neither. When I asked for a room with internet access, I was offered another room, at a higher than our agreed rate.

Very good place to stay in quite, ecologically friendly environment, in the heart of Bayern. Remote from traditional turist routes, good to study localeveryday life, ways and habits of hospitable and friendly bayerns (bavarians). The lake is grate, especially in good weather. Walking, biking, beer-drinking, smked-fish tasting, visiting interesting small places nearby-enough activities to fill up to one week. Special thanks to Herr Andreas Filgertshofer for his attention and most valuable advice.

Can not think of anything

Very friendly staff who are also extremely helpful. Rooms have dated but not unattractive decor, all have been immaculately maintained are very clean. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the lake and 5 minutes from the town centre.

This is a superb hotel, extremely well appointed with luxurious bathrooms. It is well situated close to the lake, main street and railway station and very handy for steamer trips on the lake. Very good breakfast and Herr Filgertshofer and his staff are very friendly and efficient. Would strongly recommend and hope to return soon. Hotel is also dog friendly.

The location is good, close to Ammersee (the lake), and an easy walk into the town. The host was very friendly and helpful. There is a great restaurant in the next street. Diessen is a very characterful place.

Die sehr freundliche Behandlung durch den Gastwirt und das Personal. Ich kann das Hotel jederzeit empfehlen.

Sehr netter Empfang, Zimmer sehr sauber, dort würde ich jederzeit wieder übernachten.

mässig geheiztes Zimmer, in der Nacht kalt Es war nicht möglich das Nachtessen im Hotel einzunehmen, obwohl in der Ausschreibung versprochen! Wir assen dann im Hotel Maurerhansl sehr gut! Wo wir das nächste Mal auch absteigen werden!

Superior Zimmer "Bayerisch Rustikal" in Bildern. Danach konnten wir den Begriff einordnen ...

Kleiner Röhrenferseher, eigentlich heute nicht mehr aktuell. Sehr rustikale Einreichung der Zimmer.

Die Freundlichkeit aller und Hilfsbereitschaft hat uns sehr gefallen. Auch die Tipps vom Chef waren sehr hilfreich.Leider hatten wir nur Nebel an diesen 4 Tage die wir dort waren. R.Schilling

Die direkte Lage am Ammersee - sehr ruhig und schöne große Zimmer unter dem Dach mit Blick auf den See.

Das Restaurant war leider geschlossen.
