The two young staff we saw on the first day were very helpfull and friendly The woman who we assume owned the guesthouse. Although she could speak english she did nothing to communicate with me although I can speak a little german to get by and did try to communicate she wasn't interested. The first breakfast we sat in the main area to eat but the second she sat us in a dark back room that had been used for a large function the previous evening and hadn't been cleared and cleaned. The guests from the previous evening sat in the bright dining area. There was plenty of room for us in there but she insisted that we sat in the back.She sat at a table in the main dining room talking and eating with the rest of the staff. The only time that she spoke to us was when she took our money on the final day.

nice environment, really quite. it is really. an isolated village without other bar or Restaurants. the Hotel is situated in a almost always shadowed Position.

The hotel is situated in the middle of a valley, far away from any other populated place. I suggest it to anybody willing to relax in an extremely quiet area in the middle of the nature. A lot of bicycle tracks around and, few kilometers apart, an interesting place for kids where you can dig fossiles by yourself (with chisel and hammer ...). Hotel staff speaks only German. They do not accept credit cards.

Freundlicher Empfang, sauberes und ruhiges Zimmer, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüfett. Der Altmühltal-Radweg liegt nur etwa 1 Kilometer entfernt.

Wij overnachtten in dit hotel op doorreis naar Oostenrijk/Kroatië. Voor 1 nachtje een prima hotel, waar je ook kunt eten (eenvoudige/boerse keuken). Wij sliepen met 2 kinderen op de familiekamer, het bed was goed, de slaapbank matig. De kamer was krap, maar voor 1 nacht goed te doen. Schoon, goed sanitair. Sfeer gemoedelijk. Goed ontbijt. Goede prijs/kwaliteits-verhouding. Landelijke ligging in een heel klein dorp, waar verder niets is (wel een pinautomaat t.o. het hotel). Het was erg warm toen wij hier waren. De kamer heeft alleen een raam wat open kan, waardoor het een klamme nacht werd.

Camere pulite e confortevoli. Al nostro arrivo non avevano ricevuto la prenotazione, ci hanno comunque sistemato in due camere doppie. Qualità del cibo così così..., Staff parla poco inglese e ci è parso in difficoltà nel gestirci sia per la cena che per la sistemazione nelle camere, forse perchè era in corso la partita dei campionati europei tra Germania e Grecia e c'era più affluenza di persone al ristorante del solito...

We were staying there because we were fossil hunting in the Solnhofen Lagerstatten and the hotel was a convenient location. The church bells stop at 10pm and start at 6am! We enjoyed the bells! Late arrivals should call ahead!!!

Das Zimmer war sehr egschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Speisenangebot und -zubereitung im Restaurant gut bis sehr gut. Freundliche und angenehme Athmosphere.
