This pretty Black Forest guest house features elegant rooms, regional cuisine and a large beer garden. It lies in the picturesque Kinzig Valley, 2 km from Schiltach. Free Wi-Fi, large beds and floor-to-ceiling windows are featured in every room at the Gasthof zum Pflug. Interiors have high ceilings and solid wood furniture, and there are attractive red shutters at the windows. Some rooms have a balcony with forest views. Guests can start the day with a breakfast buffet. Traditional Swabian and Baden meals are served in the Restaurant zum Pflug, which has a tiled fireplace and carved wooden pillars. Ortenau wines and fresh beers are served at the bar. The Tuscan-style terrace with large sun umbrellas is ideal on summer days. There is also a sunbathing area and a children’s playground. Located on the B294 road, the guest house offers easy access to the charming villages of Wolfach (9 km) and Gengenbach (37 km). Wonderful Gasthof with a beautiful garden and views of the mountains. We arrived after the 8:00pm check-in time. I had notified the owner when I made the reservation we would be late, but couldn't contact them that day to confirm we were coming. When we got there the doors were all locked, but they had left the keys to our room with a note on the back door. The breakfast was great and it is just a short drive to Schiltach. I wish we had stayed there for more than one short night.

Friendly, welcoming Landlady. Very adequate room with large balcony, with table and chairs, overlooking the beergarden and children's playgound. Good menu, in English if required, and food of a good standard. 3Km from Schiltach and good base for exploring the surrounding area.

Die Ehrlichkeit dieses Mehrgenerationenbetriebes: die Beschreibung des Hauses allein verdient volle Punktzahl, weil die Bundesstrasse nicht verschwiegen wird, der Kinderspielplatz ist für mehr als ein Kinder(!) gefahrlos zu erreichen, ausgezeichnete heimische Küche, Sauberkeit TOP, Balkon-Sitzpolster vorhanden- aber jahreszeitlich bedingt nicht nutzbar. Kurzum für mobile Gäste uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen, die wie ich auch mal auf Komfort wie daheim verzichten können, ach ja: WLAN hat bestens funktioniert. Die offene, herzliche Stimmung ist bei weitem nicht überall. Für mich: jederzeit wieder. Hat es fürmich nicht gegeben, selbst wenn, dann nur im kleinsten Kreis.

El personal era agradable. Estábamos en el último piso y los tres tramos de escalera erancon escalones bastante irregulares. Considero que quizás está con un precio por encima de su categoría real.

Bediening en de gemoedelijke afmosfeer. Mooi terras en direct aan wandelroute gelegen. Kamers zijn aan de kleine kant.

Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw en bediening. Bij half pension mag je ieder dag het hoofdgerecht kiezen aan de kaart die goed bereid was. Geen culinaire hoogstandjes maar wel goed. Iedere morgen verse broodjes. Aangenaam verblijf en goede uitvalbasis om het zwarte woud te verkennen. iedere dag zelfde boullion soep met deegwaren erin en de frisse salade is ook niet wat een frisse salade zou moeten zijn. Ontbijt ook altijd hetzelfde maar wel voldoende variatie. Is wel berekend en je moet zelf bijvragen als je iets wilt. Eenmaal Chocomelk gevraagd krijg je de rest van uw vakantietijd automatisch iedere morgen chocomelk. Het gesneden brood bleef ook staan tot het op was. (was hierdoor wel uitgedroogd na 2 dagen).

Le camere spaziose. L'esterno è bello e anche il ristorante è carino. L'arredamento vecchio, il riscaldamento scarso, la colazione con poca alternativa, l'accoglienza, la signora prima di salutarci ha finito il suo caffè e conversazione con le persone con cui era seduta al tavolo, qundo se ne sono andate è venuta da noi. Parlano poco l'inglese.
