The breakfast was nice and there is a cheap public parking garage nearby. This hotel was a last minute booking over New Years in Garmisch. We had read multiple terrible reviews by previous guests, but we didn't have much of a choice. Germans aren't exactly known for customer service, but this was an entirely new level of hostility and rudeness. We were four adults and we rented the apartment on the top floor. We arrived at 7 pm and walked through the restaurant in order to check in. There was nothing to indicate where to checkin. The hotel seems like an afterthought. For 15 minutes we stood there without even someone acknowledging our presence. There were four others also waiting to be helped. The waiters kept saying, "I dont do reservations." And, we were told that the owner wouldn't be there for another hour. They only gave us one key and said that's all they had. We later were able to get another. They also had not written down which room we had reserved and tried to put us in a smaller room. We had reserved the largest room in the hotel. I'm still not positive that they didn't give it to someone else. The owner never showed his face, despite asking to talk with him. At least once, if not more, each day he would send his staff to ask if we could pay. Our card was on file and we said that we would pay at checkout. If we decided to leave early because of the terrible service, we didn't want to pay more than we needed. Plus, they had our information and at checkin they said we could pay at checkout (multiple times). Finally, on the third morning we were stopped at the bottom of the stairs and told that the boss needed payment NOW, and that we could NOT pay at checkout. Other negatives were: loud church bells every hour, no iron, no hairdryer, no plates or cups despite it being dubbed an "apartment", a very old kitchenette found in a closet, no common living spaces or couches to sit on, etc. It was overall a very negative experience made worse by horrifyingly rude staff.

Good location, 5 minute walk from bus connecting to Rail Station Hbf. Large rooms, Staff were friendly, but lacking in English language skills. The hotel has a very good restaurant. No lift, hand to man handle luggage up stairs. No air cond, had to sleep with windows open, church bells opposite gave early wake up. Bring your earplugs. When settling account, had to pay in cash, so a rush to find an atm and then rush to catch next train.

The room was clean and spacious. Close to shopping and food. Great breakfast buffet each morning. Church bells across the street kept us up most the night and woke us up early. Staff was not very helpful. No parking on site had to park in parking garage. No casino or bike rentals on site.

Gasthof zum Rassen is on a beautiful, quaint street with lots of restaurants with outdoor seating and beautifully painted buildings. It was a beautiful spot and within walking distance of the bahnhof (1.3 km). The breakfast was very good with eggs made to order. The room was very sparse...no hair dryer or shampoo...but it was a large room and the beds were fine. The hotel sits about 20 meters from a church whose bells ring every 15 minutes. It kept us up for a lot of the night.

Rooms were nice close to restaurants and bus/train stop. Breakfast was excellent with eggs prepared every morning just how you like them. Lots of fresh fruit and breads, cheeses. The staff always asked if we needed anything and there was a parking garage right behind the motel for less than 5euro a day. We had 6 in our party and we were given the apartment which was very roomy. The owner was very nice.

Very nice location in the center of Partenkirchen, underground parking garage close buy with 5 Euro daily rate, facility and ground level restaurant have alot of character although the rooms are somewhat plain but completely adequate. No lift, room on four floor so it was a bit of a climb with all the luggage but nothing too bad.

The staff was very accommodating per our request to travel with our cat. They allowed us to do an early check in so we could go skiing. They were very polite and helpful with the corresponding emails before we arrived. Accomidating It was a bit loud in the morning due to being across from the church. We didn’t mind so much because we were up early to go skiing. The price was a bit high for type of room we stayed in. We would have liked to have at least a small fridge.

We rented the apartment room and were a bit disappointed. While there were multiple rooms within the apartment, there was only one bathroom for us all to share! The place was not as family friendly as we had anticipated and catered to a younger crowd! The continental breakfast included in the room rate was not plentiful! Overall, not a very good value for us!

Good: -Friendly staff; nearly all spoke english. -Clean, comfortable suite room. Most rooms appear to be recently refurbished. -Good European style breakfast (we did not eat other meals at the hotel). -Reasonable rates. -Hotel does not have parking but a parking garage is very close with low parking fees. -Great location easy to get to. Not so good: -Room refrigerator did not work. -Upon check out, the clerk at first refused to accept my credit card payment. She stated the owner did not want to pay the credit card payment fee and wanted payment by cash or debit card. I did not have either so my credit card was eventually accepted. -When the room was cleaned each day, trash was not removed. -A "visitors" fee was charged at check-out that was not included in the Booking.com quote.

I have three teenaged children and my wife. Finding one room for us to all stay comfortably is a challenge. They had the perfect double room. There is no elevator and it's up two flights of stairs. I didn't mind but you might want to know... The setting is awesome! Beautiful and quaint setting. The church bells are a factor and I would just bring earplugs. I had a issue with checking out. I gave the inn keeper my credit card and she told me that the machine didn't work and because it was Christmas, nobody could come and fix it. Well I couldn't find enough cash and miraculously the machine worked. I didn't appreciate being lied to and she finally admitted that they didn't want to lose the credit card charge.

Great location and spacious family suite. Pretty buidling in scenic town, great views. Nice restaurant downstairs. Acoss the street from early morning church bells (6am for 10 minutes) and there wasn't a lot of privacy in the family suite, even for the bathroom. No elevator (we were on the fourth floor).

Nice size rooms and bath! The staff was excellent, very helpful, and willing to accommodate. The food was great too! Perfect setting to walk the town. Walls were thin making the hotel noisy from families in other rooms and street noise.

We had stayed here before with friends and 2 large dogs. We enjoyed our apartment room so much ,we decided to come back. Our second visit was not the best. The apartment rooms are nice and large. No real cooking area, but one apartment has a frig(ask for it).The views are wonderful! Walking distance to stores and food. There is no lift! If you have issues with stairs, this hotel is not for you. Eat out! Our issues this time were with the restaurant inside the hotel. Breakfast is included and the food was ok. Dinner,on the other hand, was not so good. Peppersteak was awful tasting. The manager would not take the food back and demanded that we pay for the meal(which was not consumed). Please enjoy your meals at another establishment!

We have used their hotel before and really liked it, rooms are large, and comfortable. We had a room right across from the church and the bells kept us awake as well as a noisy street in the morning.

Excellent location, with the Zugspitz in the background. In the quieter part of G-P, and generally an excellent location, very easy to get to by car.If you book one of the apartments, it is excellent value for money (2 seperate rooms for 4 people).
