Location - sights, restaurants / shopping / underground station Lovely room Clean & tidy Helpful staff
Great hotel. Would stay again. liked the location but i normally stay in that area anyway. great size room. bed good. very happy
shower needed some bleach and a good scrub. only issue i had
We stayed in the Dom Suite, and liked it very much. It was elegantly decorated, big enough, and comfortable. Highly recommended.
The breakfast was a little expensive but ok. However, due to the lack of English-speaking personnel in the Breakfast area, it is probable that you get something that is completely different than what you asked for.
Hotel's location is excellent. It is just few steps away from underground, and 5 to 10 min walking distance from most of the attraction points.
Location was excellent, near to one of the main Christmas markets and with bars, cafes and restaurants close by. The rooms were comfortably furnished. The large windows along one wall meant the room was fairly bright although at the back of the building. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Our rooms were at the back, overlooking the bins and next to the lift which could be heard when in bed. Having to get a wifi code for each device, each day seems a bit strange in this day and age. This is billed as a boutique hotel but we think it falls short on the luxury touches that this should imply e.g we had to ask for shower gel as the bottle installed on the wall in the shower was empty; there was a courtesy tray containing only coffee and herbal teas - no breakfast tea and no milk provided; a note said that bathrobes were available free of charge but if you wanted one you had to ask at reception; the stairs to the rooms were not carpeted and were very utilitarian as if in a public block of flats - what you expect from a fire escape rather than the main stairs.
Actually booked in here very short notice as the other place we'd booked to stay in was awful so we moved. A quick search found this lovely hotel at a great price in the perfect location for the Gendarme christmas market. Hotel was clean and comfortable, bed was amazing, staff were super friendly. Location also great for all the main sites, you are 100m away from a main U Bahn station although we walked everywhere from here with ease. Great hotel, 100% would recommend.
Bit of a pain having to get a new wifi code everyday but once we had the codes the signal and response time was pretty good. We didn't have breakfast here as typical of pretty much all hotels it was expensive and a 2 minute walk out of the hotel brings you to numerous bakeries and cafes. Oh and not enough free chocolate on the front desk! We kept eating it all!!
Everything was good - don't really have anything to grumble about.
The breakfast was expensive.
The hotel receptionist Frau Hadlich was great and so helpful. The hotel was very well located
Location is fabulous! Cost is reasonable The rooms are clean. If you're here mainly for the location, it's a reasonable option for this area.
Wifi was so poor in our first room that we had to move to be closer to the server, and it was still not very good. Also, you need a separate code every 24 hours for every device on which you use wifi - inconvenient. Our room was on the same floor as the breakfast room - odors were very strong and unpleasant. We did not eat breakfast there as it was quite expensive, and given the odor we were not attracted. The lobby is ok - a couple of chairs are available, but not very nice.
The big bathroom! I stayed in a room (402) with quite an ordinary set up. Liked the size of the bathroom, quite big. Do not like that you need to ask for new wifi codes for every day if you stay more than 1 day, and also that you need to ask for codes if you have more than 1 device, which is quite common today.
Temperature in room, rather warm. Alarm from street. The fact there was no flat pillow in my room, I get some annoying pain in my neck when sleeping on high hotel pillows.
Hotel was nice and cosy. Nice comfortable, warm room and bed. Staff were very pleasant. We had a lovely view of the Christmas Market. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
Fried Breakfast was very poor and was not worth Euro 15. There was no Breakfast Tea available, only Herbal Teas.
Location for all the main attractions was superb.
Location Beds Friendly & helpful staff Early check-in Looked after luggage on check out
Expensive breakfast Poor lighting in room - missing a standard lamp Lack of drawers/storage space
Big room, comfy bed, central location, no noisy air condition
Really bad internet and phone connectivity, as i was in Berlin for business it was annoying
Location fantastic. Spacious room. Amazing value for money. Quiet. Free WiFi (the Hilton across the road wanted 25 euro a day!) lots of eating places close by. We loved it.
My business room on the 4th floor was excellent
but my colleague room on the 1st floor was too close to the breakfast area
The staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful from giving directions to printing documents and making suggestions to fill in any part of ones stay with a museum visit or two! Clean as a pin, quiet and well appointed rooms not to mention a comfortable decor with a theme twist. Nicely done!!
The WIFI is as good as it gets with all the impending regs on internet service (bandwidth taxes etc.) in Europe. No reflection on the Hotel's service at all.
Fantastic location, in the heart of the historic Mitte Tastefully renovated hotel with spacious and very well designed rooms
Lovely spacious room, with modern decor and facilities. Fabulous location.
Price was too expensive - city full from exhibition
The decoration of the hotel and location
Small lobby and price was high
Super helpful staff, really friendly and professional, great location near museums, shops and restaurants.
Double beds in Germany are two single beds pushed together which is very uncomfortable for sleeping with another person.
Localization! Close to everything. We were also very welcome.
Nothing that I can remember.
We were recommended this hotel by an old Berliner who has emigrated but visits often. It is a stylish hotel, centrally located off Gerdarmarkt Plaza. You can walk almost everywhere in Mitte or take a subway since it is close to two subway lines. The Business Double rooms are large and well appointed with lots of light, large desks, a reading area and large bathrooms. Rooms at the back are extremely quiet: no street noise and no corridor noise. The all-day breakfast is ample and tasty, with wonderful strong coffee. The chocolates at the front desk come from next door at Fassbender. The area is touristy and therefore, expensive but we found a few interesting spots close-by. Across the street is Planet wine shop which offers a large selction of wines by the glass at their outdoor tables. On the corner is Cadadia Cafe, serving great coffees, soups and quiches. There is nice Thai food at Sisaket Restaurant. Highly recommended. We would return!
Wifi is good but would occasionally stop for 10' until it was reset.
Central location, friendly staff, good restaurants nearby
wifi is very weak
