The room was very neat, and a real value for the money. Breakfast hall was very small and the wardrobe door in the room #308 was broken. |

Good location, perfect breakfast, nice hotel staff. The triple room was really triple, not 2+extra sofa. Noisy - thin walls, early cars beneath the window, people talking loud in the next room (but we were able to cope with a help of several beers :-)). No elevator |

Location was ideal. Just 2 mins walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Good breakfast. No lift - stairs can become a bit daunting after a few days. If this hotel was your first impression of Munich you would be forgiven for thinking that you are in Turkey. It's slap bang in the middle of the Turkish quarters and even the hotel decor is very turkish. I lived in Munich for years but I was still taken aback by our surroundings. Have stayed in better. |

The closeness of the hotel to the city centre. A good selection of food on offer for breakfast. Room was adequate. Lack of tea or coffee in the room although there were a kettle and cups. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but at least one person on reception was unsmiling, cold and surly. When I tried to pay the bill I was told at first the credit card machine had broken and then that Mastercard and Visa could not be used. This meant I had to pay by cash. Luckily I discovered this the night before I left and had tiome to go to the cash machine. Had I left it until the morning of check out I would have had the nightmare of running around to get cash when I had plane to catch. Sorry, but not accepting Visa or Mastercard is not good enough and for this reason I would not use the hotel again or recommend it to others. |

Hotel Goethe is very conveniently located near the station of Munich (walking distance) and close to the centre of town. It has proper rooms with good facilities. The breakfast is great! Despite the none smoking room there was a lot of smoke in the corridors. |

The staff was outstanding. I have never been treated in such a kind, caring manner in a German hotel. It was obvious that their management had trained them to focus completely on the customer. I live in Europe and live on the 4th floor (European), so I'm not your typical spoiled American; however, being on the 4th floor without an elevator is a bit of a challenge with luggage. |

I liked the fact that the staff was very helpful in setting up the reservation. Also the security in the hotel was great, if you did not have a room you could not go into visit anyone during your stay. Hotel was perfect location for Oktoberfest. Would stay again. Special thanks to Dindar for all the help. |

The hotel is very well situated and the hotel staff were friendly. The check in and check out is very user friendly and the fastest i've ever had.The room was spacious even for a 3-bed. The breakfast buffet was lovely but you have to like cold meats and tomatos and cheeses if not then you can have cereal and bread. The lcation for us was ideal as it was 10 mins walk to the Oktoberfest and 5 mins walk to the Main train station. The pillows were bad and ended up with a crick in my neck. There is stilll no elevator and the steps were a bit much even more me. I booked early last year and reviews said that the elevator would be in by jan and thus i book tickets based on this but sadly no lift yet. So if you anyway immobile best look for a first floor room. All in all a nice place to stay. |

The hotel staff stored our bike suitcases for us and were more than accommodating for a secure place for our bikes each night. No elevator. |

For a reasonnable price, you have all the confort that can be expected. Even if the decoration is non-existant, the comfort is there. The staff is excellent. They have free wireless, which I guess is rare in hotels in Munich. No elevator ! There also was a lot of noise coming from nearby buildings, but nothing that would prevent you from sleeping. The room's decoration was non-existent. |

Location is perfect , Internet is working very well. Breakfast is very good. Staff , specially in the reception is very kindly and helpful. Only there is one problem that the noise is coming from the backyard of the hotel from the next building. There are some children playing all night long . |

For one night, it is close (2 Blocks) to the Hauptbahnhof (train) on a good but busy street and reasonably priced. Many hotels claim to have wireless internet but at the Goethe it was actually working when I was there. Quiet room. Accommodating staff. Those with heavy luggage or weak knees should ask for a room at a lower level (no elevator), but the savings in price is well worth it. |

The Hotel Goethe is very close to the Münchener Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and was a nice, safe place to stay. The room was clean except that someone had forgotten to vacuum the carpet. It was tolerable though. The breakfast selection was wonderful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. |
