The stuff was very polite and willing to help. The breakfast was very good and the hotel was very close to marienplatz by uban/s ban and on foot!!! The heat was very good!!! My room was not that big for three people. Even though thre was not an elevator, the stuff hepled us to carry the luggages!!

Near the train station and easy to find. Holes in the wall, floor ripped up, no bedding, inch of dust on bed, fridge had dried up drinks spilt inside- overall very dirty and would not recommend. We did not even sleep there because of how dirty it was... Obviously they charge you the room before you arrive for a reason. Beware! Do not book this hotel!

Considering that the outside temperature was minus 15, it was catastrophic heating. We are freezing in the room.

Hotel is excellently situated for visiting the Oktoberfest. The staff are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The breakfast offers an excellent selection to start the day. Travel light as there is no elevator. Location for anything except Oktoberfest is too far away from city center.rooms are very small, especially bathroom and no elevator.

I liked the location of the hotel only - it is close to the Central Railway Station, hop on/off sightseeing and the centre of Munich. The hotel is situated in the noisy street so to have a proper sleep you should ask for the room with inner garden view (which I did on the second day of my stay). They did not have any green tea for breakfast. There are no lifts either. To be honest I wish I had not booked this hotel.

I was staying about four weeks and I have not regret it. The whole stuff was very pleasent and helpfull all the time. The breakfeast was rich and awesome. You have Internet access via wireless lan in your room and in the lobby without paying any extra funds. You are in the heart of munich, 2 min from the central train station. The rooms are quite small, but that was no problem for me.

The hotel was very affordable and the rooms were sufficient and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic and the best of any hotel on our trip. Key for us was the proximity to the train station as we were only in Munich one night at the beginning and end of the trip and needed to be close to the train station. The noise from the street was a bit loud but that would be the only negative comment for this hotel. We loved it.

Staff and breakfast were great. Location is close to the central station. Description and price on booking.com were good. That's it. Rooms are shabby and differ from description on booking.com. If you want to live close to the historic center, better look for the hotel a little farther away from the railway station.

Hotel is located close to the Hauptbahnhof and walking distance to the city centre and shopping area. We checked-in already at 12:30 without any problems, which was very convenient. Breakfast was also good. Wouldn't stay at Goethe hotel for a long vacation, but for 1 night (or a couple of nights) it's quite ok.

The breakfast buffet was really nice with a lot of different types of food. We had a computer in our room so we could use the free internet to look up stuff to do. Location is good - 5 min walk from the main train station. We only had single beds we pushed together, although they moved easily and would end up apart again. The pillows were very hard.

Breakfast was good and the staff were not slow in keeping the buffet bar well stocked. Dining area was well presented, a bit "boutique style" never the less always well serviced. Rooms were heated exremely well and staff were always helpful and polite. The hotel was easy to find and only minutes away from the main railway station in Munich. It was within easy reach of both the Showground and main shopping areas making it a suitable choice for those consious of a budget priced accomodation and who are requiring to be based reasonably central. Our room (208) was at the rear of the hotel and was generally quiet so enabling sleep without noise distractions. Bathroom was on the small size however within the facilities included was a hairdryer. "Although with many positives to this hotel, on the negative side, Our room along with bathroom was relatively small for what was for us a 4 night stay. The bedroom was probably more practical to being a single room, however a double size bed was squashed up into the corner of our room, of which no photograph on our booking web site matched that of our room. The photo's on the site suggest pretty spacious rooms and this was the biggest let down. Tea making facilities were unavailable, and no lift in this hotel. Although I would recommend this hotel to others I would emphasise the negatives prior to anyone finalising their choice.
