This family-run, 3-star hotel in Munich offers quiet rooms and a pretty courtyard terrace. It is 650 ft from the main station and a 10-minute walk from the center of the city.
Score from 1037 reviews Good
Good location for a short to medium stay also close to central station. The breakfasts were very good the Goethe was good value for the price.
Bathroom was a bit of a squeeze and renovations were going on but they have to be sometime.
Kindly staff.Very good location
Easy to get about close trains and other transport
Some times noisy at night.
very close to railway station, just 5 minutes' walk. room is big and comfortable, good breakfast
Staff friendly, location excellent, room basic but comfortable.
Not enough pillows.
BRILLIANT location. Staff were nice, helpful and friendly. Breakfast provided was fine. There's a lift (some sites say there isn't). Reception open 24 hours.
Room was not good at all. It was almost exactly half the size of the one in the photo. I did actually mainly sleep ok but the bed was uncomfortable. The furniture was shabby and broken in places. The shower head flopped forward. There was a gap between the floor and the walls where it hadn't been finished properly. It looked and felt similar to university student accommodation essentially, I suspect the 3 star rating was earned some time ago. Two out of 4 nights there was a lot of noise from elsewhere in the hotel. Lots of internal work going on in the day. There's 4 floors of rooms and only 5 tables for breakfast so expect to share with other people.
Great location, good wireless signal, comfy rooms, extremely friendly staff (we had Russian-speaking lady that helped us out immensely), and pretty good breakfast.
Check-in/Checkout times are weird since they're both at 11am which gives staff no time to clean the rooms. After check-in we had to leave our stuff in a corner of the room and get on with our day, but at least we came back to a cleaned room. Overall not that big of deal and won't affect you if you're checking in at the usual time somewhere in the afternoon.
The location is very close to the Munich Hauptbahnhof, about two city blocks. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was plentiful and comfortable. It's a perfect place to stay if you plan on going out every day and taking side trips.
We stayed in a room facing the street, which was very noisy. There isn't air conditioning in the hotel. At night we had to close the windows because of the noise and the room got very hot. But the staff was very nice and managed to get us a fan, which cooled things down and drowned out the street noises as well.
The hotel is in a central location, within walking distance to the central train station and many popular sights. Great value!
There was a lot of construction going on, so during the day it was quite noisy.
Staff and owners try to make our stay as much comfortable as possible. Breakfast is hearty with quite good selection of bread, hams, cheese and fruits. Wifi connection is good. New elevator makes higher floors easily accessible.
The ongoing construction at the back of the hotel, a new building to the existing main building, makes the hotel filled with lots of dust. The room is ok but not that great and could be thoroughly cleaned.
Close proximity to train station. Staff pleasant and helpful breakfast was very nice with good choice. renovations currently underway give promise of nice hotel when finished
Wifi poor. broken shower head. electrical work half finished in room meant exposed wires and dangerous trailing electrical cords over floor.
Near the station, good breakfast.
No courtyard, as shown in the ad. Rooms are small. Very noisy, when window open, very hot when closed.
location to main station
Rooms not very clean Construction resulted lot of dust in rooms Shower doors not working properly No safe in room Carpets in rooms very dirty Beds not comfortable - no double beds - provided two single beds
Breakfast was ok
Location and street noise bad No air conditioning in rooms WIFI reception poor
Very small shower, no English TV, Wi Fi erratic, some disinterested staff, breakfast room overflowing with guests on one occasion. If this is 3 star I'll go 4 star next time in Munich
Place was superb for travelling via train. Breakfast was rich.
We were expecting one large bed not two small ones.
Very noisy room!
Proximity to everything
The noise of the late night patrons from nearby night clubs/casinos
Convenience from hauptbanhof, near cafés and eateries, walking distance to marientzplatz.
Absence of hooks in toilet for clothing. Hygiene sanitary bag absent. Walls are very thin could hear walking from the floor above, knocking at neighbors doors, sirens at the road.
Breakfast is nice
The breakfast was great !! Close to the train station !
i needed to carry my heavy baggage down few steps of stairs !
Location to main rail station. Receptionist was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Construction in progress. No fan or air conditioning. Although there is a new elevator there are still steep stairs. One cleaning lady would not give me way or help to get luggage down the stairs. Actually pushed me out of the way. Not nice for me being 75. Room and bathroom very cramped.
Good location near the railway station
Not a very nice neighborhood
