Hotel Goldener Falke    

The members of the staff were absolutely delightful - every single person we dealt with was extremely professional and courteous. The location is perfect for visiting the old city or the Heidelberg Castle.

It's perfect location at the Kornmarkt can make arrival by car difficult during weekends and holidays.

The staff was great. The hotel was very charming, and set in a beautiful city. I could access my room easily.

Had I known that I would be assigned a room that opened onto the main square I would have requested a room off the square. Too much nightly noise from midnight to 2 a.m.

A wonderful hotel and restaurant right where all the action is. It's very close to garage parking and to the train that takes you to the castle. The food is fabulous and our room was large, nicely equipped with a fantastic view of the castle.

This hotel was perfect for our visit to Heidelburg. The location can't be better for seeing the castle, walking thru the old part of the town, and walking to the old bridge. The facilities are very good, and the restaurant and staff were just wonderful! We highly recommend it!

It's location on the main square couldn't be beat. The staff was extremely helpful in a number of ways.

I would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea sometimes, and there was no kettle or coffee pot.

The setting was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The food wholesome and plentiful. Very pleasant. Simple,clean and rustic.

Not being able to add the cost of the meal to the final bill. We are not used to using cash for restaurant meals and it was not mentioned before we had the meal. The bedroom lighting was not as good as it might have been. Very noisy group who had obviously been drinking woke us up. Not the fault of the hotel !

The staff are friendly and care about the cuctomers comfort. The location is excellent. The breakfast contains a varaiety of items.

The elevator does not reach some rooms in the top floor, and some customers may find it difficult to get to their rooms.

The location is fairly close to main tourist spots and the old bridge. But it's a bit far away from train station. So you really have to pick one.

- Hotel Goldener is my favorite hotel in all of Heidelberg...period! - The price of the hotel is reasonable and the location is unbeatable (recommend upgrading to the suite because it affords you a great view of the castle) - The staff was very courtesy and was willing to help out with any questions we had - they also spoke English which helped out alot - Great restaurant in the hotel and a great selection around the hotel. - Staff also told us about parking in Parking lot 13 which would give us a discount for our stay at the hotel.

1. furniture seemed old and dated 2. wi-fi is limited to only single device, so when the given password is used for the laptop, it cannot be used for mobile device - disappointing in view of the fact that the world has gone mobile. About time they catch up with times.

The location of the hotel makes it very convenient for tourism. It only takes 5 min to walk to the old bridge, the church, the university,and the castle. Hotel rests on south of the marktplatza, surrounded by supermarket, bars, and restaurants. In other words, you won't need to plan for anything but visiting.Actually the restaurant of the hotel itself will provide you absolutely delicious food. Its price is acceptable, and its quantity is beyond your imagination. We enjoyed one of our best meals in this hotel's restaurant. Besides, its employees are warm-hearted and try to answer any questions raised by us, despite our English which is not so good.

Feather down bed covers too hot for me (my wife was OK). It would have been good to have blankets as an option.

The room is spacious and comfortable. Hotel staff are helpful and speak good english. The breakfast was good with large selection.

The wifi signal in the room I stayed was very weak as it is a bit away from the router. It will not be too expensive to install additional repeater if they are keen to improve the service.

Wonderful position overlooking the old market place (especially lovely with the Christmas market) and beyond to the Heiligenberg. Charming staff, all speaking excellent English. Nice, ample breakfasts. Comfortable, spacious room.

Could have been a tiny bit more storage space for clothes? (Very small criticism.)
