Our Auerbachstube (Auerbach’s room) is decorated with items typical of the town of Auerbach. It pays homage in particular to Dr. Heinrich Stromer, the town’s most famous son, who built the Auerbach’s cellar in Leipzig, mentioned in Goethe’s Faust.

The staff was friendly. I could not change or cancel the reservation without paying the full price (I was there for three weeks). I wouldn't mind if I was informed of this before I made the reservation but up to the time I clicked on the confirm button on booking.com it was indicated that changes would be allowed up to the day of check-in without penalty. After I confirmed the room then all of a sudden I could no longer change the reservation without paying a huge penalty (over one thousand Euros). The hotel is very plain,outdated and overpriced. The "Free Wireless" is not free but actually quite expensive. Unless you just absolutely have to stay in this hotel you can easily find a better room in this area for 15-20 Euros per night less. |

The staff was most helpful and attentive. The staff took extra steps to insure my stay was enjoyable. When I could not eat breakfast at the scheduled time because of work requirements, the staff made a "sack breakfast" to take to work. Very thoughtful. |

The hotel staff was great. Food was out standing and the hotel was very accommodating. easy parking and very safe. If your plans are not air tight do not stay here after you make the reservation and try to cancel it they will charge you the entire stay on your Credit Card and there is no place on the Booking site that tells you this |

Grundlæggende brugte jeg værelset til at sove. Jeg tog afsted før morgenmaden og kom tilbage efter de havde lukket for receptionen. Fint bad.. Selv om jeg kom efter receptionen skulle have lukket havde de ventet på mig. God service. |

værelset var meget stort og flot. Facaden kunne godt trænge til en renovering og noget mere lys i receptionen. Personalet er meget venligt, men man skal ikke regne med at de kan tale engelsk. En stor renovering af facaden og mere lys i receptionen. |
