Location. Large parking lot. It is very large, a kind of sleeping factory. Internet doesn't work on the rooms, at the reception they pretend it does. The reception staff explained me they gave back their stars. I kindly requested them to change their advertising on booking.com accordingly.

Nothing, compared with other much cheaper Hotels - Lazy staff responding on wishes only after repeated contacts. - Free internet only in the lobby - Telecom hotspot (extra charge) in the rooms. - No information folder in the room available - One of the front desk officers decleared " we are a Meeting Hotel" in other words we actually dont need to give YOU service

Everything about La Strada is strange: the location, the decor, the lack of staff. But the room was clean, and the wifi in the lobby was fine. Seems like they still have a lot to sort out. For instance: a half-hour line to check out?! I've never experienced such a problem, at any hotel I've ever been to, ever. But La Strada, with its conspicuous shortage of staff, did have this problem.

Amazing public spaces. Furniture and ambience quite remarkable. Good breakfast, good location and clean. Young lady on reception was about as unhelpful as I can remember in 30 years. When asked a simple question some accurate information would have been nice> a smile would work too.

Good location (3 tram stops from city centre and Documenta venues. Very clean big rooms, with good beds. Delicious breakfast and not so expensive. Parking for a motorcycle was € 15 for 24 hours, which I found quite expensive (it's the same as for a car). Computer in the lobby, available for guests was all in German, I think it would have been easier for international guests to have it in English.

Comfortable, clean and large room. Nice beds. Lady at reception desk was grumpy and didn't speak English. We were in the hotel bar and waited for 40 mins to be served and then left. No wifi in the rooms. From what we read on the website we thought the hotel would be closer to the centre than it actually was.

Large rooms, extensive breakfast buffet. The hotel did not take into account our special remarks from the booking: We asked for a quiet room but were given one on the first floor on the street side and above the bar where loud music is paid in the evening. We heard the music in our room!! The hotel is very big so it should not be difficult to find a quiet room. Even at checkin, i repeated that i wanted a quiet room, but even then nothing was done to give us a better room. We also booked a room for 3 nights but they only registered for 1. Fortunately they could change it to 3 nights.

Rare to find, in germany, a group of front desk workers slower, less helpful, stupider(?). There was something mean in the service--precisely two available computer stations for several hundred rooms, no room wi- fi, no free coffee, etc. stayed at a far less expense hotel in Leipzig and the personnel were infinitely beth, ditto the computer access. At la strada the physical plant is fine, it's the ambiance that's lacking-- perhaps because it's for german conferences or the like.

It was well located with decent amenities and fine breakfast. Upon arrival the staff was available but not welcoming. They were efficient but resistant to helping with a particular request. The next morning a staff person was quite clear and professional and affable and was able to suggest ways of helping us with our request. The wireless internet was intermittent in the lobby areas and not free in our rooms. The mediocre nightly house band dominated the environs of the lobby and reception areas making it difficult to converse or relax and pick up emails exacerbated by the poor wireless reception. So in brief the evening staff was generally problematic as was the night staff yet the morning crew was solid.

La Strada is utterly mediocre and many elements of my stay there were quite unpleasant. The staff were extremely unwelcoming and downright rude at moments. Though the language barrier was of course a factor in this, the demeanour and attitude of the staff at reception left a great deal to be desired. Myself and my partner, like many others, visited Kassel for dOCUMENTA 13. When we arrived we were given our key card and then no further assistance. There was no explanation of the facilities, no indication of when (or where) breakfast would be available, or any suggestions as to how we might reach the centre of town. On returning on our first evening the key card no longer worked. The receptionist then informed me that I was trying to access the wrong room and gave me a new card to the *proper* room. This was not the room I had left my luggage in earlier in the day, and was indeed already inhabited by another visitor. There was no apology for this breach of privacy and security from hotel staff. The restaurant (when we eventually found it) was fine. The breakfast was good. All but one of the multiple bars and restaurants were closed - strange as one would imagine this to be a high point in the season. In the evening the only option available was a €26 buffet and staff were unable to suggest any other restaurants in the area. The pool was a nice addition, but again there was no indication that this was an available resource. It is utterly ridiculous that a hotel plaintively geared towards business use does not provide complimentary internet access in rooms. Rather, visitors must queue at reception for the password and then sit within feet of the desk in order to be in range for wireless. The hotel itself is a sprawling marble deathtrap which one would imagine was decorated by a fan of the 'Dynasty' TV series. A woman on a keyboard played in the lobby throughout the visit... Several people slipped on the floor and one woman was injured quite severely. La Strada was a great disappointment, and reflects poorly upon the city of Kassel.

Our request for a room with two beds and early check-in were met. Very close to public transportation and park. Room was large, comfortable, clean and very quiet. Huge, spotless bathroom and luxurious shower. The lounge was very noisy at night... Unpleasant atmosphere. Internet in room incurred additional charge. Path to elevator for our room room went through conference/meeting areas that were dark at night.

It has a good lobby that gives a sense of luxury as well as the room on first impressions. Very good breakfast buffet if you are expecting to eat a lot, otherwise it seems expensive. The staff were friendly in a distant kind of way. The public PC at the lobby was very good and easy to access if, like me, one travels without a laptop. Good sized bedroom and bathroom, quite comfortable apart from the shabby curtains. The curtains didn t close properly and had some holes on them, apparent when drawn. Big French windows that overlooked a shabby balcony, but made the room very light

The room and the bathroom were huge and confortable. the center of the city was easily reachable, as well as the motorway. The parking of the hotel was very expensive (10 euro per night). The room was full of light since 5.30 in the morning. Cheasy design In the lobby with annoying live music.

Relatively big single room, with double bed. Room had not air-conditioning or ventilation and it was extremely hot. You had to pay 5 EUR per hour in the room for WIFI, which is very expensive. On top of that the connection was bad. In the hotel lobby WIFI is for free, but slow, and there is a Schlager band playing there every day the whole evening, so not really a good place to work.

LaStrada is a big, sprawling hotel with a big neon sign and a big shiny lobby, located on the edge of Kassel's great Karlsaue Park - excellent location for Documenta, the massive exhibition that dominates this section of the city every five years. It's a super happy surprise, as the rooms are spacious and airy and clean - they even have balconies that run along the back of the glass-walled room, which makes the space that much airier. Bathrooms are clean, bright, well equipped. And the price is remarkably low. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, but most don't speak anything but their native german. internet is the weak link - available for free only in the lobby and very spotty, even there. it's fine in the room if you pay. the restaurant is clearly designed to serve business guests - the hours are business hours. no mini-bar or food or drinks available otherwise. But this is the ideal bedroom for a visitor who's mostly out and about.
