Grand Palace Hotel Hannover    

Good location about 500 m from railway station. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.

Hotel is located by the railroad. As my room was on that side, the trains caused some noise in night time.

Within easy reach of the city places of interest.clean and comfortable. Superior room was a good size

When entering on arrival there was an unpleasant smell of dogs. However it was OK the following day.

Good location. Mattress was good. Hotel guests seem very quiet.

Very tired and dated decor. The whole place stinks like cigars from a tiny bar in the basement. The furnishings are spartan at best. Nothing has been updated in ages. Rooms on the backside face the railroad tracks and are noisy. Getting ripped off on price when there is a big Trade Fair going.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, great variety for breakfast, easy walk to the train station, free mini bar, comfortable bed.

The lack of wifi in the guest rooms was inconvenient.

Very comfortable and quite hotel - the noise from the trains did not disturb as was expected - breakfast was good with a good selection of fresh meats cheese and salmon and cooked bacon sausage etc but they also will cook eggs how you like - free mini bar in room with 1 beer, 1 apple juice, 1 orange juice, 1 sparkling water and 2 pepsi - we had drinks at the bar when we returned from night out and although we were the only people in there, it was still nice to sit and have a drink and reasonable charge

Only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel and only 1 glass for drinksfor 2 people think room 511 is supposed to be for a single person - other reviews on other sites mention this same problem with room 511also unsure of the purpose of the random round table in room without any chairs to sit at - sky channels are very limited and only basic

Great location, easy to use LAN connection, comfortable and very roomy. It is rare these days to see a full size bathtub.

A coffee maker in the room would be lovely.

Big rooms and comforthable bed

The room was not heated up and lighting was very so also TV set not very user friendly

I love the place as it was very much convenient to me. I love the rooms as its so big and i invited my business partner too to visit me and he came for room 215 on the 15th Jan 2013.

My shower was hopeless and it was to bath the walls of washroom not my self. I was at room 211 I asked for a membership for the hotel as i will visit every year on business but reception didnt have it.

I booked and paid for a "superior" room, but I did not find anything "superior". It was a simple room on the 5th floor, just below the roof. Small windows and a low ceiling that was quite claustrophobic.

The location.

The lights in the hall wall only turn on when there are people passing by, gets bit scary at night to me. We have been given a room on the top floor initially, it had wired roof design. I have asked to change, then been allocated to floor 4. The room has a strange smell, like dentist clinic. It looks rather empty with existing furniture.There is a door in the room which is locked, it probably links to the storage room, but I was not very comfortable with a extra locked door inside my room.

Looks more like a fortress than a palace from the outside. Quite dark and poorly furnished insides. Rooms are fine but very dimly lit. Slightly dreary all in all. Comfortable enough for one or two nights but no longer.

Nice fresh renovated hotel, good location, old building.

It was cold in the room. In the morning it was hard to climb out from under the blanket because of cold. The heating came only from the air-codition. The floor and walls were cold. And how it would be in winter? The heating should be real and not from air-condition!

Close to the railway station and center of town. Large comfortable room.

No coffee in the room.

Excellent position, wide parking, room was nicely furnished and clean. Blankets and toils freshly washed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, maybe a bit expensive but you can find some cafe's just round the corner.

I changed 3 rooms one after the other due to the following reasons: The first room was not the kind I had booked! The second room was never cleaned after the previous guest left! The third room had only 1 towel, 1 glass, no wi-fi. I did not change any further as it was already 12:30 a.m. The staff reduced the cost of the final bill to compensate for bad service. I would not stay here again as I have seen much better/responsible services with much cheaper hotels in Hannover!
