Take a city tour and discover the 300-year-old opera house, the "Gewandhaus" concert hall (home of the internationally renowned Gewandhaus Orchestra), the old town hall, the imposing railway station, the Nikolaikirche church and the striking Milan-style Mädlerpassage arcades, which include Auerbach's Cellar (made famous by Goethe's "Faust").
Classical music fans will enjoy visiting the Thomaskirche church, in which the world-famous Thomanerchor (Choir of St Thomas) performs three times a week, and in which J.S. Bach served as cantor until his death in 1750.

The close proximity to the fair trade center. The niceness of staff compensates for reduced comfort. Coming too late to the breakfast reduces choices (especially on weekends). Quailty of breakfast low. No hair-dryer in the room. |

A lipcsei Messe kiállítás közelsége miatt választottam ezt a szállást. Azok számára, akiknek csak éjjeli szállás szükséges megfelelő a hely. A fűtés katasztrofális volt. A szobában nem volt fűtőtest. (sem padló- illetve falfűtés). A szálloda környezete is lehangoló. A szoba ablaka egy leégett csarnok maradványaira néz. A másik oldalon a gyorsvasút pályálya. |

Sehr freundlicher Nachtwächter, der sogar einen späten Drink an der Hotelbar ermöglichte. Gute Lage an der Messe. Beim Auschecken um 6.45 war die Hotelmitarbeiterin stark überfordert, wollte unbedingt ein Frühstück berechnen, das nicht verzehrt wurde (Frühstücksbuffet öffnet erst um 7.00 Uhr). Ich wurde zur Unterschrift einer Quittung mit falschem Rechnungsbetrag gedrängt, ich erhielt keine ordentliche Rechnung. Ein Vorgesetzter war nicht zu sprechen. |

Het is een hotel bedoeld voor bezoekers aan de Leipziger Messe. Geen extra vertier aanwezig. Ook helaas geen enkele mogelijkheid voor dinner. Personeel kon ook geen advies hiervoor geven. Gevolg dat gasten in de stad moeten gaan zoeken wat lastig kan zijn in het donker van het najaar. |

Nähe zur Messe, Straba Haltestelle in der Nähe Benutzte Handtücher wurden nicht ausgetauscht, Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig (Haare vom Vormieter waren noch im Bad), Personal war anscheinend ständig überlastet, beim Frühstück mußte man darum betteln, das ein Tisch abgeräumt wurde. |
