The breakfast is fantastic! Will be back as soon as possible:), Directions to S-bahn towards Sachsenhausen was misleading. Little info could be given about where tourist buses start from.

The homelike atmosphere is it's first value ! The rich & the variety& tasty breakfast ! The stuff is very helpful -I'd say 'extra-large' (for example when I asked if I can smoke in the garden they put a table cloth on a table& an ash-tray...they were very responsable to let me know about masseges I got etc.) The location is great-next to tram -15 minutes from Alexander Platz & in a very very nice neighborhood-lots of nice shops-resturants-bars etc (but quiet & safe ). I loved my staying sure I would come again- best value for money. No elevator but being at the first floor is O.K. I had a telephone in the room (It's not obvious in Berlin) it was a good suprise since it wasn't writen in Booking or in the hotel web-site.

Helpful staff and clean and quiet room. Building works next door - nearly finished. We asked for a double room but were allocated a twin room. However a double room was found for us without much trouble.

A straightforward, pleasant and functional hotel. Very helpful staff. Spotless room. It did me good to climb the 5 flights of stairs to my room every evening. I was initially uneasy walking through the poorly lit passage/driveway to the hotel which was set back from the road but it was something I got used to.

I liked the spaciousness, thoughtful design and decoration of the room. The natural light through the numerous windows was fantastic. I appreciated the hooks to hang items on, as well as the mirror, in the entry way. In the bathroom I liked the hanging basket from my items. Set back in a courtyard, the room felt like a little oassis. Overall my experience was very very good. I will recommend you to my friends. Danke schon

I thought that the room was good value for money & the area is a really nice for wandering out to good restaurants and bars a little out of Berlin. The only issue I had was the fact that there is building work going on next door - drilling from 7.30am, in summer if you need the windows open this will not be good. I also didn't find the staff so helpful in letting me know where the nearest things are - perhaps I should have asked more questions! Over-all though a nice hotel in a good area of Berlin.

Good location, tram within ten meters, five minutes to Alexanderplatz. OK area, feels safe, lot of small restaurants, cafes and pubs. Breakfastbuffet is small but good, rooms OK, quite small, but quiet. Nice staff. No elevator.

The hotel has a nice atmosphere and home-like kind of approach. I would say it classifies as a romantic hotel for a budget minded couple. It is not luxurious, and still a lot more fancy than most hotels in Berlin. The woman who met us when we arrived (the owner I think) was vey helpful with info about good restaurants, and we got really useful insider tips from other staff as well. The 5th floor without elevator was not very handy. Actually we got a room on a lower floor first (because I requested it) but then with two singel beds..

Hotel Greifswald is a family-run hotel that makes you feel at home away from home. We came to Berlin when it was really cold. On return from walking around all day, the reception sent tea to our room with cakes. They were so nice. I actually have never been to a hotel before with such exceptional service.

“The free wifi worked very well and the included breakfast was very good. The single room was compact but well appointed and the bathroom very modern and clean. The TV had limited channels (no english). Access to public transport (tram stop right outside) was excellent. A good range of restaurants nearby and easy walk (10 mins) to Alexanderplatz..” Andrew, Mold |
