Golden Tulip Hotel Park Consul  

Very new room, nice layout with balcony and large windows. Very practical desk and lots of shelf and counter space in the bathroom. Large closest and storage areas. Quiet hotel but right next to u station and bus stop. 12 minute walk to Siemens Berlin Test Facility or 5 minute bus ride. Lots of restuarants in the neighborhood (Chinese, Turkish, Vietnamese, French, Steak House, Donner, and many others.) a Netto store (similar to us Convenient store) next door. Easy access to Mitte by train to see Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. Short train ride (less than 10 minutes) to Tiergarten, Zoo, and other attractions. Wonderful and pleasant staff. Fantastic breakfast.

The two Sky channels d and e are supposed to be German and English respectively. The e station typically had German language soundtrack - just like the d station. I didn't watch much tv.

The hotel was very close to u Bahn.

The guy at the reception refused to bring me water to my room by giving the excuse that he was alone in the reception. Location of the hotel might be good (u Bahn) but the neighbourhood is very dangerous, we witnessed a fight with a lot of blood around. Those kind of things do not make you feel safe, especially if you are in a foreign country.

Very friendly staff. A spacious room. Easy and fast connection with one buss from Tegel airport, and the same buss could take us to the city centre. Subway station was next to the hotel, which took us directly to kdw and Zoo. Electric kettle with tee and coffee was given on request. Paulaner restaurant was very close with traditional German food.

Originalthe room had down pillows which stank of tobacco although we were in the non-smoking floor, but pillows were easily replaced.

. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful . room was spacious with a high level of cleanliness . dining room staff were very efficient . breakfast selection was very good . facility to leave luggage if arriving early and departing later helped to make the most of our stay . a good location for all types of public transport to the major tourist areas . a short walk to the river took you to a comfortable and well-priced boat-cafe

. Some of the furniture was a bit shabby and dated in the room . balcony was flooded; drainage was poor . insufficient coffee satchets in the 'welcome pack' which was not replenished adequately the next day . although not directly a responsibility of the hotel, the presence of groups of can-drinkers in the park opposite is unwelcoming

Its entarence is very dull and dark. Its staircase and sink should be chanced.

Very nice hotel. Large comfortable room with a balcony. Convienient location, very kind staff, tasty breakfast and safe private parking.

The rooms had nany extras that made the stay comfortable inclding speakers in bathroom, trouser press, tea makingfacitities etc great breakfasts

The location was a little way out of town had to change underground lines everytime we went into town

The hotel was clean and had a big and comfortable room.

It was far from the city center, but there was a Ubahn stop, you had to make 3 conections to get to Branderburg tor or the train station. Otherwise you can take a bus or a cab for 8 euros.

the room itself was clean and not noisy although close to a busy street.

the lobby is on the second floor. The feeling is like in a budget hotel. for parking my rented car was taken extra 11 EUR per dey although not mentioned during the booking. not good tube connection.

Very good location, transportation connections and environment.The hotel is situated next to a gorcery, opposite farmacy, two doors away from an U-Bahn station and TXL bus stop. The stuff is very helpful, the breakfast is abundand, the bed is confortable, the internet connection is fast ( though paid )- what more to ask for? :)

Internet is against paiment. That is the only shortcoming.

Everything I needed for a short business stay at a very decent price: large and very recently renovated room, it was surprisingly quiet in the night (my room was facing the backyard, 7th floor), comfortable bed, wifi Internet add-on for just €5, good working place / desk, everything worked properly in the room, and reasonably well supplied breakfast buffet . Also, very nice and welcoming personnel. The hotel is just next to an U-bahn entrance.

The only negative I found was the single elevator in the whole hotel... for 6 floors each counting about 8 rooms, be prepared to run or wait a longer period of time during busy hours.
