Bergheimer St is a great location and you quickly get everywhere by food be it the Old Town, Neuenheim, or Weststadt. It was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpfull amd the free brekkie sandwitches are a nice little treat.
The location was great. Close to shops, river, castle and public transport. The room was decorated tastefully. The breakfast was a lovely touch but a pity we stumbled upon it as there was no mention of it being provided.
There was a lot of dust under the bed. It didn't look like anyone had vacuumed under there for a few weeks. I didn't sleep much because of the yelling and shouting that went on into the early hours of the morning. It came from a nearby cafe/restaurant. If there was 24 hr reception I would have asked the staff to call the police as the noise was truly excessive. I was not able too as I'm traveling from Australia and have to phone access. I was exhausted the whole of the next day. I mentioned the noise to the polite receptionist the following morning but she just shrugged her shoulders. The room was overpriced for what it was.
Most comfortable beds we had in six weeks in Europe!
Excellent location, 15 mins walking from the train station, 10 mins walking to the city center. Tram station nearby. Very clean, polite staff, fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, plates, bowls, pan..), above average-powerful hair dryer (for the ladies!) New furniture, nice bathroom. Very basic breakfast (some sandwiches, yogurt, pastries, coffee) but it's free.
The hotel is located on the main street that can be a little noisy sometimes, but with closed windows you'll have a good sleep. No room to store your luggage - They are willing to keep them somewhere behind the reception area but no guarantee. The reception is not open all time
Public transport across the road. The place had a lift which helps when you have heavy bags. Even though place says breakfast not included every morrning at reception there is coffee, juice, rolls with fillings, pastry and yoghurt.
There were no real german restaurants close by. It is about 15 minute walk to get where the old city is. Shops close on Sunday.
Excellent location near the city centre plus row of shops across the road. Very clean and well-kept. Staff were helpful and friendly. Value for money, definitely. Provided iron and ironing board when I needed one. Room has a small fridge, and a small place to cook. Cooking utensils were also provided. Internet was okay, could log in on multiple devices at once, and there was also ethernet LAN connection in my room. TV has channels in German only plus CNN.
Wifi signal was weak occasionally. No 24 hr staff at the counter, so if you're checking in outside office hours be sure to check with the hotel on the procedure. Instructions were emailed prior to arrival, but there was not enough time to check, as I was flying by then. Thus hotel assumed I have internet connection upon arrival to check on the instructions for entry into hotel outside office hours.
I liked the surprise of a complimentary breakfast, hearty enough to get you ready for the climb to the castle in Heidelberg. My wife and I also enjoyed the large bathroom, plenty of space in bedroom, and the added benefits of the kitchenette. Everything was clean and well-cared for.
The room service, the location, the furnishings... Perfect place.
staff is good and wifi was good also the house keeping was fantastic also i love the breakfast with the original german coffee
there is no a/c in the hotel
Clean, quite convinient for a traveller who does not expect a palace indoors but needs a comfortable bed, refirigerator, cooker and cosy bathroom. Friendly staff at the reception.
TV set placed up close to the ceiling. This is a compromise in a tight room but looking up is not a natural position and may be tiresome. Anyway, Heidelberg visitors are not there to watch tv (except it is mundial). Noises in the night. No one is perfect. It may be attributed to late night futball games but a quite night is a paradise.
The room is very big and have good facilities. It is also very near city center and the main bus stop.
The bathtub is too slippery and I fall down in the bathtub.
Located very near the centre. Very clean and modern apartment. Well equipped. Excellent shower.
Only one wifi login per room - there were two of us. Had attic room with sloping ceiling, which made the room feel a little cramped.
Noisy due to main road nearby and people shouting late evenings.
Location was fantastic, the facilities were just was we needed, staff were friendly and helpful
Great location, clean, staff helpful, easy to fine. Ideal for on foot, catching the tram, or walking to the main train station.
Walls were a little thin.
The location near Bismarckplatz and the old town are great. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
The street noise from drunks going home at 2AM is annoying. The elevator went out on Good Friday and, it being the long (4 day) Easter weekend, didn't get fixed until the following week. Walking up and down 4 flights of stairs several times a day, especially with heavy suitcases when we checked out, was quite unpleasant.
The location was very convenient.-close to bus and train station and within walking distance to old town.
We lost wi-fi status and each day I reported the problem. Every day I was told Wi-fi was fine. I could access in the lobby but except for the first 3 days of 7 day stay I did not have it in my room.
The location was good , the stuff was polite !
I been to Heidelberg for medical reasons . I stayed in a room on the 3rd floor for 15 days . The elevator was out of order most of the days . The day i was leaving , after a major operation , i had to carry down all our baggage and that eventually caused sutures to rupture! When i complained they respond to me with the ridiculous excuse "we call the technician but he did not come yet " and i had to claim the stairs !!
I really enjoyed the location between the Hbf and Altstadt and near the river. Within walking distance of everything, just as the reviews stated. Because i let the staff know my diet requires me to be gluten free, a Gluten Free beverage was provided for me.
The elevator was not functioning during the entirety of my stay, and my room was on the second floor.
Location was excellent. For a weekend it would have been great- for a week it was terrible.
For a longer term stay, the single was claustrophobic with no space for one open suitcase, let alone two. The bed was a European single, smaller than a twin. Staff did not respond to emails about a pet, then quoted one rate for pet, then charged a higher rate- it felt suspect. There was only a cookplate, no microwave. The dust was bad and under the bed was a breeding zone for it. If staying for more than 3 days, go elsewhere.
Helpful staff. As mentioned no breakfast was included in the room rate, we were however positively suprised that sandwiches, juice and pastries were offered on a first come first served basis in the morning
When we booked the hotel, we mentioned that we were traveling with our 3 months old baby and thus expected to have a bed for our baby in the room, unfortunately there was nothing. We also asked to get the "hypoalergique room", but as nothing was mentioned when we got to the hotel we aren't quite sure if that was the case. Since we only stayed a night we were unable to verify as our alergies luckily didn't kick in. No microwave! Which is, when you take a flat, essential, especially when traveling with a baby! Also was there only one fork. Overall ok but expensive considering the lack of a microwave and dissapointment felt that our initial comment of traveling with child was not considered.
The room was clean and large. I like the room which I stayed. And the location is also nice because it is near from Bismark Platz. Thank you for all.
Unfortunately, I had to bring my suitcases by hands to check-in because there were upstairs from the entrance to reception.
A good location: close to the old town and all the sights. On the other hand, the hotel is close to the Railway station and the Bismarckplatz with plenty of public transport where from you can go to any place in the city. Particularly, there is a bus and tram stop just near to the hotel entrance. Very friendly and welcoming staff (especially Denis). Clean and quiet apartment with a mini-kitchen. We had a room on the 3rd floor of about 20 m2. Free and good Wi-Fi. Free breakfast: sandwiches, yogurt, juices and coffee.
Actually, our room was a mansarda and we bumped our heads on the inclined wall.
The rooms are basic but comfortable and contain everything you need.
There are no parking places nearby. Also, it feels a bit lonely being there, because there is most of the time no-one else around.
Close to the tram and Old Town, great sandwiches for breakfast, which is included in the room rate, and coffee to go available for guests. Clean room, great bed, fridge and electric stove.
They don't have a room to store your luggage.
