The location is good, within walking distance to almost everywhere. There's a small kitchen in the room, with basic utensils. A small breakfast is provided near the reception.
Wifi was a bit slow.
Cleanliness of room.
A little noisy being on busy street. WiFi not so good.
The location was excellent to get to the old town, a close walk to the Bismarkplatz. From there you can walk to the castle or ride the tram anywhere you need to go. The bathroom was very nice, and there was even a simple breakfast for us on Saturday morning.
The room was large, but a bit barren. Also, we were late due to a train delay in Stuttgart. Luckily, we ran into the concierge as she was leaving, or we would've been stuck without a way to get in. She said she texted me the code to get in, but it didn't come through for some reason. That said, she was very kind, got us checked in, and spoke excellent english. The experience was a negative that became a positive.
Great Staff , Location , cleaness
improve the bed billows
Locations is reasonable, not too far from the old town
Reception closed early, we arrived 5 minutes before published time to find desk unattended, the same happened on checkout so we never actually interacted with any staff. Parking is not private as advertised it is actually in a public underground lot about 5 minutes walk away. woken up at 3am with a bunch of drunks having a huge argument on the street, this location is on the main thoroughfare so there will always be some noise.
Clean, good sized room.
I think that garbage was being taken out every morning just outside our window at 7am and it sounded like a bomb going off.
Very clean and comfortable.
Receptionist was rude and unfriendly. Rang us at 1030 asking us to vacate the room; didn't do so until 1100 as per policy.
Staff Coffee & sandwiches Restaurant tips
Poor phone signal
Very clean and nice breakfast
The very bad pillows
Friendly, competent staff, location in the city center.
Compared to professional faces at hotels, the employees at this guesthouse are like your friends. If I had a short term job in Heidelberg, I would stay here. Complimentary breakfast has a wide selection of sandwiches and Danishes. 10 minutes walk to tourist center, but quiet.
Bergheimer St is a great location and you quickly get everywhere by food be it the Old Town, Neuenheim, or Weststadt. It was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpfull amd the free brekkie sandwitches are a nice little treat.
kind staff unexpected free breakfast large, clean and bright room
The location was great. Close to shops, river, castle and public transport. The room was decorated tastefully. The breakfast was a lovely touch but a pity we stumbled upon it as there was no mention of it being provided.
There was a lot of dust under the bed. It didn't look like anyone had vacuumed under there for a few weeks. I didn't sleep much because of the yelling and shouting that went on into the early hours of the morning. It came from a nearby cafe/restaurant. If there was 24 hr reception I would have asked the staff to call the police as the noise was truly excessive. I was not able too as I'm traveling from Australia and have to phone access. I was exhausted the whole of the next day. I mentioned the noise to the polite receptionist the following morning but she just shrugged her shoulders. The room was overpriced for what it was.
Most comfortable beds we had in six weeks in Europe!
Excellent location, 15 mins walking from the train station, 10 mins walking to the city center. Tram station nearby. Very clean, polite staff, fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, plates, bowls, pan..), above average-powerful hair dryer (for the ladies!) New furniture, nice bathroom. Very basic breakfast (some sandwiches, yogurt, pastries, coffee) but it's free.
The hotel is located on the main street that can be a little noisy sometimes, but with closed windows you'll have a good sleep. No room to store your luggage - They are willing to keep them somewhere behind the reception area but no guarantee. The reception is not open all time
Public transport across the road. The place had a lift which helps when you have heavy bags. Even though place says breakfast not included every morrning at reception there is coffee, juice, rolls with fillings, pastry and yoghurt.
There were no real german restaurants close by. It is about 15 minute walk to get where the old city is. Shops close on Sunday.
Excellent location near the city centre plus row of shops across the road. Very clean and well-kept. Staff were helpful and friendly. Value for money, definitely. Provided iron and ironing board when I needed one. Room has a small fridge, and a small place to cook. Cooking utensils were also provided. Internet was okay, could log in on multiple devices at once, and there was also ethernet LAN connection in my room. TV has channels in German only plus CNN.
Wifi signal was weak occasionally. No 24 hr staff at the counter, so if you're checking in outside office hours be sure to check with the hotel on the procedure. Instructions were emailed prior to arrival, but there was not enough time to check, as I was flying by then. Thus hotel assumed I have internet connection upon arrival to check on the instructions for entry into hotel outside office hours.
I liked the surprise of a complimentary breakfast, hearty enough to get you ready for the climb to the castle in Heidelberg. My wife and I also enjoyed the large bathroom, plenty of space in bedroom, and the added benefits of the kitchenette. Everything was clean and well-cared for.
The room service, the location, the furnishings... Perfect place.
staff is good and wifi was good also the house keeping was fantastic also i love the breakfast with the original german coffee
there is no a/c in the hotel
Clean, quite convinient for a traveller who does not expect a palace indoors but needs a comfortable bed, refirigerator, cooker and cosy bathroom. Friendly staff at the reception.
TV set placed up close to the ceiling. This is a compromise in a tight room but looking up is not a natural position and may be tiresome. Anyway, Heidelberg visitors are not there to watch tv (except it is mundial). Noises in the night. No one is perfect. It may be attributed to late night futball games but a quite night is a paradise.
The room is very big and have good facilities. It is also very near city center and the main bus stop.
The bathtub is too slippery and I fall down in the bathtub.
Located very near the centre. Very clean and modern apartment. Well equipped. Excellent shower.
Only one wifi login per room - there were two of us. Had attic room with sloping ceiling, which made the room feel a little cramped.
Noisy due to main road nearby and people shouting late evenings.
