Our stay was quite an experience on its own! Tempted by the price, we booked a double room for two nights for 30 December 2013 to 1 January 2014. However, the price did not include breakfast, which, indeed, is mentioned on the website, but when asked whether we want breakfast at our arrival, it was not stated that it would incur extra costs. As we had this conversation in combination with our complaint that the room was very cold, we assumed that the offer for breakfast was a way of an apology for the cold room, admitted by the hotel runners. But far from it, we had to pay for all of the breakfasts, which brought the price of the hotel room up to the same level as one of the next door hotels, where we had a drink in the evening and met wonderfully friendly staff members, as the hotel we had booked had no facility for a drink.
Regarding the room temperature, indeed, the room was made warmer by closing the windows at our arrival. The room temperature, as stated by the hotel runners, was given as 16º at night and 21º at day time and, indeed, was kept as such, because there was no possibility to regulate the temperature ourselves. This was, indeed, a novelty to us; it has been the first hotel for us (as frequent travellers, we have been able to get to know many hotels all over the world for a few years) which did not allow the customer to adjust the room temperature to one’s own liking!
Regarding novelties: there was no description for the use of the TV (despite trying three times, I could not make it work, and by pointing this out at our departure, was made look stupid by the runners of the hotel), the towels were not exchanged for fresh ones and one could not hang up anything in the bathroom due to missing hangers (not a single one except a wobbly stand provided for the two small towels next to the sink). However, the best of it was that the man of those running the hotel asked us, whether one can enter our bedroom to make the beds, as this is usually not allowed!
