Position to airport with excellent free shuttle service. Good public transport connection to city centre. Early breakfast facility. Good breakfast and good German food Restaurant. Staff very helpful and efficient. We will choose this hotel again.

Proximity to airport. Proximity to airport. +35C and no taxis would drive us to the hotel! Wanted to charge 25€ to get us there. We ended up walking. The shuttle only runs from 5 am, so our 6 am flight needed a taxi. We paid only 10€.

The shuttle bus was always available and the staff were very friendly and spoke English. When you arrive at the Hamburg Airport go to the Information desk located by the car rentals, on their desk there is a courtesy phone, press Ibis and you will be connected to the front desk, then ask for the shuttle bus, it's that easy. This area is also where you would catch the "s" train to downtown Hamburg. We stayed at this hotel the evening we arrived in Hamburg and our last evening in Hamburg. Both times, we requested breakfast for the following mornings. The first morning there was a full buffet. The second morning we had an early flight, but to our delight we were told breakfast starts at 4am and there would be no problems, so I paid the breakfast charge upon check-in the previous day. What they didn't tell us is when breakfast is that early, they only have bread and buns with coffee and juice, not the full buffet which we paid for in advance.

The hotel is exactly what an airport hotel should be--close to the airport, economical, clean and efficient. Breakfast was an additional 10 euros, but was worth it. The airport is only a few minutes away.
