Ibis Hotel Hamburg Airport  

Ibis is well set up for airport travelers with shuttles to and from the airport, reliable wake-up calls. They're clearly well accustomed to dealing with the needs of those needing a quick place to stay at the beginning or end of a trip.

Staff were very cooperative and friendly. Food in restaurant was good and value for money. Room clean and functional. Airport shuttle excellent. Early breakfast (05:00) great service.

Menu restricted in restaurant although quality good. Only really useful for access to airport.

Exceptionally friendly and joyful staff in restaurant, easy transfer to/from the airport

Free internet not available in rooms

The receptionist is impolite & not professtional when I check-in. It's really bad service!

It's location so near to Hamburg International Airport was paramount in our selection of it. The services offered met all our needs. Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. It was clean!!! Would certainly stay there again when commuting through Hamburg!

I liked the shuttle which took us back and forth to the airport. The 5;00 am was on time which we really appreciated. I registered with booking.com and I felt we were not given the same type of room that the up front pay customer is given.

The person at the desk did not put down our room number for a wake up call at 4;00 am. Not happy with this one!! The room didn't have a glass or many amenities along with the room. Again this room was booked and felt it was a room specially set aside for internet bookings which did not have as many features to the room or service????

Comments re my experience at the ibis hotel at Hamburg airport the hotel: this experience is from a real guest, from an short stay Nov 2011 this hotel is only rated [2] ** stars, but if you book early, you can get rooms for 59-79 Euro you can cancel your booking up to 1800hrs on day of arrival which I think is very handy, if you have to cancel your flight shuttle service: just call the hotel and they pick you up or bring you to the airport, as early as 0500hrs the security system is very good: as in most good hotels, you get a card which identifies you and the room number and it controls your room access, the elevator and the parking gate access to the U-ground garage. Room service lets you sleep in, if necessary, staff in hotel lobby friendly and correct and you can have the small 5.00 Euro breakfast at 0600hrs I would definitely choose this hotel, if I come back to Hamburg

The room: it needs larger waste basket in the room note: during my stay, there was available for you the "natural care product for body-hair- skin" in the shower and over the sink: I got some of it in my eyes, it burns like hell [I mentioned this during checkout]

Good location. Hotel staff is friendly and the restaurant provides good meals. Rooms are clean and comfortable. No problems, no surprises.

Not located near the city, but it is perfect if you don't need to be in the centre.

Price + location.

The price for the room was too high, considering that the room furniture is incomplete (no bidet, no safe case) and had to pay extra money to use internet connection and the breakfast was not included in the price.
