The Rilano Hotel Hamburg  

If you are not visiting Airbus in Hamburg there is no reason to stay in this hotel, as it"s located on the outskirts of the city and there is absolutely nothing to do around, unless you like to seat and watch the big ships on the river.

The location is excellent, with great views over the river which had a lot of shipping for interest.

The food at the restaurant was excellent

No wireless Internet in the rooms, just wired. That is not of this day with iPhones, Androids, iPads etc. Very poor for a hotel that depends on the business traveler.

Great view in rooms with river view. Good access to HH city via riverbus, but only until early evening.

No food available after 11pm

Not very much to be honest. Perhaps the kind personality of the bartender and the cleanliness.

A general lack of training, professionalism and also staff throughout the hotel. While the food is good, the restaúrant service in the evening was very, very slow (two eenings in a row!). Simply because there are too many people to serve. Also the kitchen is not really able to follow as soon as alll tables are busy. Reception staff that does not live in Hamburg will kindly tell you they cannot give you any info about what you can do around the hotel because they do not know ! All in: it is quite evident that this hotel has a huge management problem, it would be too easy to only blame the staff.

Close to Airbus Hambug, business meetings etc.

Location is good for business with Airbus Hamburg, but not so good if you wish to visit the city.

Nice room and great view on the far away city

- Very poor service in the bar at night, rude waiter, uncleared tables on the terrace, etc - staff at recepton does not know the way to go to the city public; far away from Hamburg City. € 40 Taxi to Altona statiion: no hotel shuttle - definitely rather a place for recreation than for a city stay in Hamburg

...die Lage ist, im Hinblick auf den Elbblick, sicher hervorzuheben, das Hotel ist neu und entspricht in allen seinen Einrichtungen einem 4 Sterne Standart, Zimmer o.k., Frühstücksbuffet o.k., es wird auch zügig nachgelegt, Minibarausstattung kostenlos, Lan kostenlos, MA freundlich.

..Lobby ist ein Witz-eher erweiterte Eingangshalle bestehend aus 2 Korbsesseln, Pay-Tv od. Video on Demand-not available, am Wochenende Bustouristen mit z.Teil "Ballermann-Niveau", dann "Schlangen" am Buffet, also Kapazität des Frühstücksraums nicht ausreichend, Hunde erlaubt, na ja,

Die sehr ruhige Lage am Fluss, mit Blick auf die Elbe. Gute Anbindung mit den Fährschiffen an die Innenstadt. Räder ausleihen vor dem Hotel möglich.

die Lage an der Elbe ist phantastisch ... Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet

Zimmer könnten etwas grösser sein....obwohl es ein modernes Gebäude ist waren bei 2 Zimmern die Fenster (im geschlossenen Zustand !) stark winddurchlässig- was bei - 14 grad Aussentemperatur gewöhnungsbedüftig ist. Zimmerwechsel klappte jedoch relativ problemlos.

Das Frühstücksbuffet ist preislich doch eher am oberen Limit. Die "Zwischenrechnungen" empfinde ich als unangebracht.

Wir hatten von unserem zimmer blick auf die elbe, das zimmer hatte einen balkon, das hotel hatte eine sauna mit ruheraum und fitnessgeräte.

Ich hatte zwei zimmer gebucht, es gab nicht die option das die zimmer nebeneinander sind.
