Hotel Harzlodge  

It is a very good idee, to make a hotel from buildings used earlier as mining building. It is renovated and shows a good combination of old look and materials with the hygienic new ones. Goslar is a beautiful hystorical town and the hotel is cca. 800 - 1000 m from Kaisers-Pfalz at foot. Better to go at foot and not by car, you can save the difficuelties at parking. Breakfast is excellent, price-value relation is excellent. Rooms are well furnished and beds are comfortable. I returned already second times.

I ordered an extra bed for doughter of 8 years together with the reservation. One day before arrival I checked the reservation by phone, it was confirmed. After arrival we get the room with 3 beds only a day later. It's true, that the third bed wasn't invoiced for the all 3 days of the staying in the hotel.

Lovely and comfortable room. There was a small pool outside my window. The breakfast quality was normal, but the atmosphere was impressive.

The sound insulation wasn't very good, so if you have a noisy neighbor you may not expect a quiet night.

Walls and doors quite thin, sound proofing not great.

Good very clean basic accomodation at a great value for the price.

You never knew if the resteraunt or bar was going to be open on a night (in 4 days was only open once).

There's no the Internet connection in the room.

Although there been a fair amount of guest, it was basically a peacefull atmosphere. Breakfast was good. Restaurant had a basic menu , with good meat. Although there is not a lot of scenery at the hotel site to enjoy, located just outside Goslar it's a few steps in the lovely countryside of the Harz. Immediately off site with bike or car your side seeing starts. Small but nice tight rooms, with more then decent beds. Clean. Good price. Also check and call the hotel itself to check prices and offers. Kind of guests, bikers and young-middle aged-older couples, fitted our profile. Nice how the houses looked.

On site, where the rooms are located it's very confined space. For a longer stay with some leisure I would suggest to look for a more country side located hotel where you have some view from the window. Small rooms. Although a decent category of guests and very quiet surroundings, a bit more sound insulation would have been welcome.

Realy great location, was impressed by friendly staff and whole way hotel was 'themed'. I read that this is not a stereo typical hotel and that is right, it is like an old German town on the facia but inside rooms are immaculate and comfortable. Dinning and drinking area is very nice: Breakfast is extremely good and varied Dinner - varies daily but also was good and tasty Overall, very happy I booked and would happily come back again

quiet location in forest, but plenty going on on site which creates a village atmosphere. 10 min walk into beautiful Goslar if required. Clean, basic and good size rooms

Preiswertes Hotel im Stile einer Westernstadt. Sehr nettes Personal, schöne Zimmer und ein hervorragendes Frühstück. Was will man mehr? Wir werden das Harzlodge bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Goslar wieder buchen.

Fint og afslappende hotel til små penge, fine værelser og badefaciliteter - 15 min. gang til Goslar centrum.

Der er ikke altid mulighed for at spise på hotellet og det virker lidt tilfældigt hvornår køkkenet er åben.

Rum och badrum var helt ok. Frukosten var bra.

Hotellet såg ut som ett rivningsobjekt, ett Christiania i miniatyr! Uppehållsutrymmet i vår hotellänga var belamrat och omöjligt att utnyttja. Wi-fi fungerade inte heller.

God betjening og dejlig mad. spændende byggeri i gammel fabrik forstod vi.

Der besondere Aufbau des Hotels. Völlig was anderes und somit besonders. Ich war jetzt das 2. mal im Harzlodge und besimmt nicht das letztemal. Immer gerne wieder.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Aufmachung(verschiedene Themenbereiche der Fassade).Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit,die Zimmer sind zwar einfach aber sehr sauber.Das Preisleistungsverhältnis passt.Wer eine günstige Bleibe sucht und keinen großen Ansprüche stellt,ist hier genau richtig aufgehoben.Die Altstadt hat man in wenigen Gehminuten erreicht.
