Welcome at the Haus am Kurpark in Schömberg, Black Forest. Our hotel was built in the style of 50's and is located in the centre, yet calm area of the village next to the health resort park.

Town hall, park with event house, main shopping street with restaurants and the bus stop are within a 2 minutes walking distance.

Our lobby and lounges are decorated with artistic paintings and objects and invite you to rest. Our “Sun Flower Lounge” is the living room of the house with toys for the young guests and a large assortment of board games for everybody. The “Garden Hall” is decorated with modern art and traditional Asian artistic objects.

The spacious garden borders the health resort park. The gardens give you the possibility to sun-bath and relax.

The concept

As a “Hotel Garni” we offer bed and breakfast and we would like to match the personal character of a “Bed & Breakfast” known from Great Britain and Ireland.

Paintings and artistic objects from our private collection shall communicate the special character of a private refuge.

Christoph Eck and the “Haus am Kurpark”-Team are looking forward to give you a warm welcome, a welcome you can expect from a personal and individual surrounding.

You will enjoy the brightness of the big breakfast room with its nice view of the village and the forest.
We offer a rich breakfast buffet with fresh bread rolls, smoked Black Forest ham, jam, assorted sliced cold meats and cheese, yogurts, cereals, juices, fruits… everything you need for a good start of a new day!

The bright and colourful rooms are all at least 20m². The balconies which are facing the sun, give the rooms a friendly atmosphere, and the well chosen details give the rooms a colourful character.

Area information

Schömberg, Black Forest (surrounding area):

Schömberg lies 650 metres above sea level on a plateau between the spa resorts of Bad Liebenzell and Bad Wildbad. It belongs to a small, exclusive group of Salubrious Climate Health resorts in Germany. Extensive woods invite you to go hiking and biking.

360 km of hiking trails and 65 km of mountain bike trails are signposted.

The Event House in the health resort offers dances, theatre plays and concerts.

Other wellness places of significant importance are the 4 thermal baths in the Spa-District of Calw. These are Bad Liebenzell, Bad Wildbad, Bad Teinach and Bad Herrenalb.

Visits to Calw with its half timbered houses and the Herman-Hesse-Museum, Castle Neuenbürg, the ruins of the Hirsau Monastery and the ancient silver mines of Neubulach and Neuenbürg give you a good insight into the culture and the world of the Northern Black Forrest.
