This charming cottage-style suite offers a private terrace overlooking scenic meadows and the Rhine River. It lies in a nature conservation area, a 5-minute drive from the historic center of Xanten. The Haus Lüttingen am Schloss features a bedroom and living room, as well as a private bathroom. All rooms have a direct view of the Rhine River which is just 800 ft away. Breakfast at the Haus Lüttingen in served each day either in the privacy of the suite, or on the terrace overlooking the grounds. Haus Lüttingen am Schloss is a good base for exploring Xanten. Here you will find the Archeological Park, a Medieval quarter of town, a cathedral and Roman museum. Weeze Airport is a 25-minute drive away. The surrounding forests are ideal for hiking, cycling, fishing or horseback riding. There are also nearby golf and tennis facilities. Het was er schoon, zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw, prima zelfs uitstekend ontbijt, extra's chocolaatjes, koekje, koffie E.D. Het is geen hotel, het is meer een bed &breakfast er waren wifi problemen dus geen wifi.

In English - simply superb In German: Ich habe jetzt schon Berichte über mehr als 100 Hotels geschrieben, Erhabenen sowie wirklich Schreckliche. Diese Etablissement ist einfach das Beste - ein verstecktes Juwel, und das ultimative Erlebnis in die Eleganz. An den Ufern des Rheins, auf dem Gelände eines großen Landsitz, wird diese moderne Ferienwohnung bestens mit allem Luxus ausgestattet, und ist im Besitz einer von der aufmerksamsten, gutherzigste und nachdenklicheste Gastgeberin erdenklichen verwaltet. Das Frühstück war prächtig, nachmittags Kaffee und Kuchen war ein absolutes Vergnügen. Décor und Einrichtungen sind auf höchstem Standard eingerichtet. Das Hausti steht in einem kleinen Weiler 20 Gehminuten vom historischen Stadtzentrum entfernt, und obwohl Xanten ist für ausländische Touristen vielleicht nicht so gut bekannt, es liegt in unmittelbare Nähe zum Flughafen Weeze und knapp 20 Minuten Fahrt von der niederländischen Grenze, von Arheim unweit entfernt. Die Stadt ist eine Schatztruhe von einzigartigen Geschäften, historischen Gebäuden und tief sitzende römische Archäologie. Es kann viellecht besser berühmte Städte geben, und weitere bekannte Wirtshäuser, aber nach 40 Jahren Leben und Tourismus in Deutschland , empfehle ich, dass Sie alles andere ignorieren und kommen hierher, um die ultimative deutsche Gemütlichkeit zu erfahren. Es waere unmöglich, diese Unterkunft besser zu empfehlen. Sechs Sterne! there is no downside to this experience; it is pure luxury and and absolute indulgence

Das Anwesen mit Blick auf den Rhein ist fantastisch und der Service sucht seinesgleichen. Wir sind überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend bewirtet worden. Die Lage ist sehr gut, es ist ruhig und in 10 Gehminuten ist man am Strand der "Südsee", in 15 Gehminuten am Archäologischen Park und in 20 Gehminuten am Xantener Markt, besser heht's nicht. Das Wochenende war traumhaft.

Haus Luttingen: daar zijn geen woorden voor. Ik geef ze 5 sterren. Alles, maar dan ook alles is tot in de punmtjes verzorgd.De hostess was gastvrij, vriendelijk, zorgzaam. Geen moeite te veel. Toen ze hoorden dat we nog vier uur moesten rijden kregen we beiden een flesje gekoeld water mee voor onderweg. De rest is al gezegd in de vorige beoordelingen.Echt, deze suite is zijn geld meer dan waard!!! Die zijn er niet en als er wel iets zou zijn hoef je het maar te zeggen en het wordt opgelost!

Wir waren ein Wochenende im Haus Lüttingen und waren total begeistert. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht ist hier genau richtig. Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Lieben Dank für das sehr schöne Wochenende

Het was in alle opzichten uitstekend! Fantastisch welkom,allercharmantste gastvrouw. Paradijselijke plek, groots uitzicht over de Rijn. Zeer zorgvuldig gedekte tafel, prachtig tafelzilver, kandelaars en bloemen. Ontbijt was voortreffelijk! Ook naast het ontbijt was er de hele dag koffie (versgemalen), fruit en ander lekkers. Veel informatie over de streek! Gastvrouw was niet opdringerig, was er als ze nodig was.We mochten rustig wat langer blijven. Omdat de gastvrouw jarig was geweest kwam ze met een fles champagne en konden we een toast op haar uitbrengen. Het was ons jaarlijks schoonzussen-uitje, maar zo fantastisch als het dit jaar was!!! We zijn er nog steeds niet over uitgepraat! Wij kunnen geen enkele klacht bedenken.

Uns hat besonders die persönliche Atmosphäre gefallen. Man wird dort richtig verwöhnt und kann den Alltagsstress komplett vergessen. Die Suite ist urgemütlich eingerichtet und liegt direkt am Rhein (ca. 300M); von der eigenen Südterasse kann man über Felder auf den Rhein blicken und hört nur Natur!

Great location and very friendly service, great privacy, amazing breakfast! The hostess makes you feel very welcome. The breakfast in combination with the quiet and beautifull envirement and privacy makes the stay an unforgettable experience. We stayed 3 nov 2012 and probably come back!
