In the center of the city of Passau, right on the banks of the Danube river, Pension Vicus is a quiet bed and breakfast. There is a parking lot available on the property.
Score from 251 reviews Good
the place is very clean and its a nice location once you find it which is not easy in the dark late at night
the location is excellent but can be confusing t find late at night unless you want to take a taxi
The location and the view is unbeatable for this price. To get the room key is very clever and was smooth. Wifi is excellent. The shared bathroom is clean and perfect. The kitchen with fridge and tea was very helpful for us.
The owner was friendly. It was operated as a simply, comfortable sort of pension with kitchen and common room available.
Very friendly staff and very accommodating - loved the place
the cleaning lady really helped us out thanks so very much !! Other people we meet were nice, great location, great view.
well we are all over 58 years, so the stairs were a little much, but not so bad.
Hostess was respectful and polite, rooms are clean, location is near the old town.
Noise from street, parking places are away.
Nobody at the desk, the keys have an automatic mechanism. When we tried to access the hotel, did not work and were more than 20 minutes on the phone waiting for someone to solve, a very uncomfortable situation ...
As many others say, this is a great location - I think I'm right in saying every room has a view over the Danube and the bridge just before the confluence of the Ilz & Inn too. The interior is well decorated and the facilities are very good.
The garden and surroundings could be improved on a little.
The location is the best possible. Me and my parents are extremely satisfied
Close to downtown. Very friendly folks. Not sure if the woman I met is the owner but she could not be friendlier or more cooperative. Best internet of any hotel we stayed at this trip. Inexpensive. If I were by myself I would consider this a perfect trade off of price for performance. My wife was not so understanding. All in all if you are very cost concious this is a great choice.
Not downtown, but you can see it. Awkward location right on river. You literally can not STOP at the hotel. Must park about 1/4 mile away and walk with your luggage. There is no mgmt or staff on site... None... Except for between 10:00 and 12;00. Grounds are in desperate need of attention. Two shared toilets and shower facilities although this WAS advertised I missed the detail.
Great location with views over the Danube and old town. Right beside the walkway to the castle and 10 minute walk across the bridge to the old town. Easy access to cruise ships and very comfortable, clean rooms.
Price. Use of kitchen. Good location near bridge to centre
Further than we thought from train station. Get a taxi. Sign not that obvious.
Room had a bad odour. It persisted even with open window.
No staff on site, and we had to make a 30 minute phone call (at great expense) to gain access to our keys. These were in a safe outside the main entrance and we were given the wrong code, not once, but 5 times!! We had a quadruple room on the first floor, however be warned, it is a shared bathroom & toilet. (My fault for not checking properly). If the other room on the floor has 4 people that's one toilet between 8 people, you wouldn't want to be last one in! We only used it as a one night stop over thankfully. Pretty basic, and not for me I'm afraid.
Close to town, flexible.
Hard to find, parking 350 meters away but affordable (4€ for 24 hours in garage). Not very clean.
Service was simple but effective.
Terrible location right on a noisy motorway. Impossible to park any place near. I would only recommend if you are extremely price conscious and not of these inconveniences matter to you.
Very close to the Donauradweg
Our host was awesome. Haus Panorama is not staffed in the afternoon / evenings, and we had a lost bag making it's way to us from Lufthansa. The host contacted the airline and convinced them to leave the bag in the garage, without anyone there to sign for it (against airline policy), but this was crucial for us beginning our bike tour on-time. Location was good, right across the river from the old town, and facilities were clean and basic. The washer/dryer was very helpful.
A bit loud at night, as the pension faces a busy road.
Owner very helpful with us sending our luggage to Vienna.
Great views and ease of access
Location. It's the first thing you like. The view over the Danube, the bridge and the old city is spectacular. Cleanliness is also at the highest levels.
nothing to complain about.
Nothing arrived didn't stay
We were notified just a short time before arriving that nobody would be there ,but key is in locked box with our name on it.by this time we were completely soaked.guess what no marked key ,we rang only to be told have to wait for call by the owner and he didn't know when so supposed to stand in the rain that's a no go.Also parking a big problem as there is nowhere to off load our gear for our stay as the main highway runs next to the front door just impossible to stop .the owner finally made contact was very unpleasant and unreasonable.no way would we return also never again .
Location and facilities are very good.
No room to lock the bike during the night.
spacious room, near center, outside the hotel nice view,
parking to far.
It is comfortable! And the scene from a window is also good!
