Hecker's Hotel Kurfürstendamm  

There are two alternative choices for hotel locations in Berlin: near Kurfürstendamm in former western Berlin or close to Unter den Linden in former eastern Berlin. Hecker's Hotel would be the top choice for the former location. We took bus 109 and get off at Uhlandstraße. From there it is a short 2 min walk to reach the hotel. We stay on the fifth floor with larger rooms. We took advantage of Berlin public transportation with 5 day Welcome Berlin card. From Uhlandstraße station we are connected to the U-Bahn network. From Savignyplatz, it is the S-Bahn network connecting Potsdam to the west or Alexanderplatz to the east. Finally there is Bus 100 from Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten (Zoo station) to sights such as Reichstag (on-line reservation required), Brandenburger Tor, Unter den Linden, Museumsinsel, along the way. Finally, we like the restaurants on Kantstraße and Kurfürstendamm near our hotel.

Spacious rooms, 50 metres to the metro and in the middle of the main shopping street. No real luxury, but excellent value for money.

Breakfast (which we didn't take) seems too expensive for what it's worth

Room was lovely and big. Bathroom was amazing!zero condensation on the mirrors which was very impressive. Bed huge and really comfy. Flat screen tv was great

I'm very appresiate Booking Team for reality information about this hotel. it's my second time when I used info from Booking and it was true. About this hotel. It's very good hotel, where working very good stuff. Very good location. Room was is very bigger. I would like reccomend this hotel to my friends.

Poor wi-fi signal strength. Stuffy in the room and no condition. We had to open the window. Hall is not comfortable. Once you enter the hotel you find yourself in the... restaurant.

A very good hotel in a brilliant position. Thoroughly helpful staff. Excellent restaurant. A certain individuality that one does not find in the bigger chain hotels.

Location is excellent, clear, comfortable room for a reasonable price, Spacious and light "comfort single room" with mini kitchen. On the street side and close to Ku´damm, still quiet thanks to proper windows and thick curtains. No air-conditioning but luckily the windows could be opened.So closed to public transportation such as U-bahn and S-bahn. U- bahn station is two minutes away and S-bahn 5 - 6 minutes away.

Worn furniture in the room, not a four-star design hotel feeling. Wall-to-wall carpet.
