Fabulous views of river, perfect central location, amazing staff, nice food! :) Would stay again immediately! Got wonderful sleep in the fantastic room and bed! :) Clean bathrooms! :) :) :) :) A+

The executive suite was great. A large living room, a really comfortable queen size bed and a massive balcony overlooking the river. Plus access to the executive lounge, free drinks and nibbles in the evening plus breakfast. The breakfast was ok, but seating was limited. We ate in the hotel restaurant, the staff were very attentive and the food perfect. We visited the christmas market ( about a 20 minute walk from the hotel ), and plan to visit Heidelberg again in the summer, and plan to stay at The Marroitt.

I thought the parking was a bit pricey at 18 Euro, but I guess this normal.

We had booked a double room with a view of the river Neckar, which the hotel is situated on and I would recommend this type of room. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The hotel has a very nice terrace at the back, next to the river, a great place to sit and have a drink or a meal.

There are 2 things we didn't like about the hotel; the hotel is described as being a short walk away from the Old Town. It actually takes about 20-25 minutes, so this description is a little misleading. However, there are trams and buses which go into the Old Town and stops for both of these are located near the hotel. The buffet breakfast was very poor on both mornings we stayed there.

It totally disappointed me a lot. The room rate is high, but the service quality and facility are totally bad than my expectation. The worst thing is they don't have free internet. It's hard to believe a hotel with a high chargement doesn't offer customers free internet!! Therefore, I bought internet service for 30 mins. The speed is very slow. I don't think that terrible internet deserves 5 eur. And they don't have water heater in the room. If you want hot water, you need to ask from them. By the way, maybe it's my fault. I didn't notice that hotel is far from old city center. If you want to travel in Heidelberh, don't choose this one.

Not enough parking spots (only 5) for a Marriott hotel is definitely not enough, considering that the hotel location is not central. THe hotel furniture is outdated. Need some modern refurbishment. Currently it looks like 1980s...

Good enough to restay on my next visit

Good location and comfortable

Nice room overlooking the Neckar River. Friendly and helpful staff, able to provide advice on sightseeing and restaurants in the area. Best breakfast compared to the 6 other hotels we stayed in on our trip around Germany.

Not within easy walking distance of the Old Town area. Extra fees for 3rd person (older son) were excessive.

This was value for money. Staff were excellent. Reception at check-in was slowish due to an unpleasant and demanding guest but they compensated appropriately for a problem that were not their fault. We ended up with a very nice, quiet and comfortable room with a river view. Not modern but furnished in a style from a more comfortable era. The breakfast buffet was good.

The location has some advantages but the hotel is quite a way from the old town. The tram/bus service is reasonably closeby and efficient. The secure on-site parking was expensive. Paying for WiFi in a 4 star hotel is unexpected these days. Similarly, tea and coffee making facilities in such rooms should be standard.

We liked our room very much. It was large and beautifully designed.

The room was next to the elevators and we heard them a lot. The food in the Pinci Bar was not good (the Schnitzel tasted like fish. When I complained I got another dish which was fine).

Staff was very helpful. The riverside location was relaxing. Rooms clean. Hotel grounds maintained well.
