Score from 400 reviews Good
Dating from 1856, this 3-star hotel in Heidelberg offers spacious accommodations. It's in the center of the city, a 5-minute walk from the Neckartal-Odenwald Forest.
Score from 1175 reviews Excellent
Furnishings of the room could have been better. Also room at the ground floor, with windows giving directly onto the exterior with no protections
Nice looking hotel inside, eg. Reception. Outside a so so hotel...
Lot of small mistakes, not good looking mistakes. My room was too small, if you are 2m tall, the ceiling was so close. Dark room... The Light switch were not logically placed... At the door you can turn on only a Light at the mini Hallway of the room.
We wanted 1 bad for 2 person but we had 2 bad for 2 person
Polite, cheerful and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable accommodation with those important little extras (kettle, extra pillow, tv guide, etc). Easy to find and well situated for travel into or away from the city.
WiFi was not FREE! The 'sign-in' asked for payment depending on the connection time required !?!?!?
Good price, nice room.
There was a little bit cold in the room without extra blanket. Internet is not free. No good coffee at the breakfast.
bar staff.good food

Very clean and comfortable
No wifi gratis
Not expensive Close enough to Heidelberg Good rooms
No atmosphere in hotel - fine if all you want is a place to sleep.
Not obvious was if on the room the tea and coffee free was. Please let that know to the people
We decided to stay at this hotel because of the late check-out possibility as we had booked the afternoon train. As it turns out, the stuff is incapable to communicate in any other language rather than german and that lead to a misunderstanding. We thought that the check out hour given to us was 15 p.m. whilst the stuff thought 13 p.m. But this is not the problem. The problem is that we returned to the hotel at around 13.30 p.m. to pack our bags and we realized that we had been kicked out of the room!!! That means that the stuff entered our room, OPENED our bags and put there or in big trashbags all our things - needless to say how carelessly this happened. They did not even try to call me on the phone to inform me- I was about 1km away having lunch. It was one of the most embarrassing experiences of my life!
Not much. It has a small gym and a sauna - but so do real 4 star hotels.
Unfriendly, unhelpful staff from the moment we entered the hotel; booked in advance but was still allocated a twin room instead of a double and when we asked to change to a double, the staff simply said that they have no more double rooms...didn't even check. We stayed there between Christmas and New Year - hardly tourist season so I found it hard to believe that there were no available double rooms; parking charge of EUR8 per day - it's an outside, unsecure parking space; no elevator - how can they claim to be a 4 star hotel when you have to haul your luggage up the stairs to get to your room? Ridiculous; rooms are not 4 star quality - old and smelly.
Everything! really everything!
the only minor thing is that you need transport... if not you can walk 20 minutes and take the bus... movement is also good for your health!!
clean and big rooms
out of city, no internet, expensive parking
Good feeling with staff; good furniture;, clean and quite room: everything you need for a stay.
I liked the condition and comfort of the room- it was small but very relatively spacious for its size and well laid out. It was perfect for two friends traveling together with two twin beds.
There were some strange noises in the night- sounded like water pipes or the like.
Hotel was good, clean. Nice reception area and bar
A little old. Not very close to the major walking areas
wireless internet shouldn't be paid. This should be indicated on the web page where wifi facilities are advertised : otherwise, it is misleading.
Clean, easy to check-in, nice staff, simple but comfortable rooms, sauna, quiet
A bit outside of town, somewhat industrial area
Clean. Roomy. Nice bar downstairs.
It's far from the city center.
no food after 10pm. No room service for supposed standard of hotel. Understaffed in bar. Surly bar staff. Stayed in budget hotels cleaner & with more facilities. Very disappointing
room, cleanliness, staff, etc
WiFi massively overpriced
Hotel is far away from city they did not care info on reservation.
Room was good size and clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly.
Location is outside of the city so if you don't have a car you have to taxi into town.
The pillow was lumpy, room too hot, not as clean as it could be and restaurant closed early.
