Quiet area, very close from downtown. Also can be reached easy public transport U and S-bahn. Nice and good breakfast. Small rooms. An old hotel from '70-'80 years but clean and the price value was fair. |

Super-friendly staff were very helpful, including letting guests use their printer for plane tix. One public computer for free in lobby. Restaurant attached to hotel (Der Tannenbaum) was one of the best I ate at. Great location for anything in Aldstadt. Between two subway stations (S-bahn and U-bahn). Small, basic rooms, were clean and excellent value. The only thing that might make me not return is having to pay for wifi in room. |

During my recent stay at the Hotel Herzog Wilhelm City I was really very positively impressed with the quality of the hotel staff service, budget price, and especially very reach breakfast in the morning. No connection to the Internet was available |

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The continental breakfast was also excellent with a large selection. The hotel is also conveniently located about 100 yards from three restaurants and a metro stop. The building is a bit older, and our triple-bed room was actually a double bed and a cot. |

Location was great, between the Theresanwiesen and Marienplatz. The rate was a little high for the double room. |

The internet downstairs was nice. The breakfast was very good. Upon arrival, the room was so small my husband instantly had to take a photo because friends back home would not believe it. There was not enough floor space for our suitcases. It was our honeymoon, but the room had twin beds across the room from each other; the staff would not move us when we asked to be moved, even though they knew in advance that we were on our honeymoon. The shower seemed clean, but repairs on it were poorly done and seemed to have mildew on them. The sheets were stained and had sock fuzzes on them that matched neither my nor my husband's socks nor any other fabric we had: someone else had slept in the bed before it was made. The room was laughably loud all night and in the morning: construction, jackhammers, fistfights, yelling, sobbing, sirens. No sleep was to be had. The road to the hotel reeked of urine, and the photos on the website did not match the hotel - they were actually photos of the hotel down the street. |

We actualyy stayed at the Tannenbaum. So, we saw very few hotel staff. The breakfast room staff were very friendly. The breakfast room was lovely with a nice variety of foods and a pleasing presentation. Very close to underground trains. The Tannenbaum Resturant was very good and just downstairs. A place to put your suitcases. We had to use the floor. Ice for Americans. We did get ice from the resturant and that was very nice of them. |

The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was basic but filling and the location was good. It is an easy walk to Marienplatz the city centre, and equipdistant to the train station. We appreciated the simplicity of it. Good clean accomodation with nice stafff. You shoud stay here. |

The hotel is located close to Munich's Marienplatz and the world famous Glockenspiel and other sites located within that area. There are several terrific restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and the selection was quite varied in origin. The water pressure is very good and runs cold from the tap for drinkability so there is no need for bottled water and has plentiful hot water for showers. The in-house restaurant serves a typical, German-style, continental breakfast and is heavy on meats, cheeses and bread items along with seasonal vegetables with a variety of fruit juice and coffee. They do not serve cold milk for cereals or drinking, instead they serve plain and fruit flavored yogurt for cereals. The hotel had elevator malfunctions and was closed during most of our stay. If your room, which are small compared to American standards, was on the street-side of the building, traffic noise was sometimes a problem. In addition, the hotel is not air-conditioned nor were there room or ceiling fans for air flow. The window did open quite wide for cooling if there was a breeze but it also allowed any traffic noise to intrude. We purchased a small fan for use in the room during our stay and it helped tremendously. As the rooms are small, there are no appliances, refrigerator, coffeemakers, microwaves, etc in the rooms. |

Hotel had a good location to city center and was pretty competitive in pricing with other hotels that were closer to the city center. Like many of the other comments we read before booking our room at this hotel, it was difficult/confusing to find the sister building. It was not marked well at all and all other guests were getting lost and going in to an apartment building close to where the staff told us the building could be found. Also, the room was really hot, but Germany was having a heat wave during our stay, so it is to be expected. Very noisey when windows are open! |

We spent two days exploring the city. We were able to do this comfortably because of the excellent location of the hotel. The only negative thing I have to say is that the room did get exceptionally hot at night. We were however able to open a large window but this would not have been an option if we had had small children. |

Perfect location walking distance to the historical center of town. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Very small rooms, not clean, run down, very hot in the rooms. Water heating trailer on the street in front with hoses into the building. Funky. |

The hotel is close to the city centre, the night life and the main station. Not far from one of the best squares, Soldinger, and a good tube connection. Hotel has a joint restaurant at the corner with the Tanenbaun and a good menu Not so easy to find by car. On a visit to MUnich / Munchen go by tube and get a car later. |

The location to shopping areas and the breakfast were good. When you request a triple room that is what you should get, not a double room with a fold away bed, that is passed off and priced as a triple room. |
