Hotel Hesse    

Small room, but insulated and had all I needed. Good breakfast.

Work roads in front of hotel. Hard to find a parking space (unless you accept the 10€ fee, very high as by night you do not need to pay in that area anyway).

To be honest, nothing.

The room is tiny, things are not clean. The price is too high for such kind of condition.

Single rooms are very small. This hotel is ok for one night only. Out of 10 I would give it 5.

Located right next to the train station and quite close to the city center. Promises 3 stars and fits that promise.

Clean, simple, great location, friendly staff. It was great for a short budget holiday.

Proximity to station

Too far to walk to city centre more than once - so once we went out in the morning we did not return. I really like to return to hotel to change for dinner. Bathroom too narrow & tiny TV did not work

Very charming, helpful and friendly staff, the hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was substantial, it was a good German breakfast buffet. Near to the centre of Aachen, about a 10 minute walk. There was a pub next door that served Pizzas and other hot food, but it was not far to go if you preferred something else to eat, plenty of other eateries in the vicinity

Our hotel room was at the front of the hotel and unfortunately although the windows were double glazed there was still a fair amount of road noise that could be heard.

It was close to the station and easy to find. It was nice and quiet but only a few minutes walk to the city centre.

The latest check in was 10pm which wasn't a problem for me but the train was late from Brussels so I was a bit concerned that I would be cutting it fine.

The main railwaystation is really close. The breakfast were very good with wide selection including fresh vegetable. The employees of the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. It had very homy feeling as the hotel has only around 15 rooms. The center of Aachen is within walking distance. Just next door of the hotel is a very good restaurant with traditional food and big variety of beer.

I understand the influence of CHIO but the hotel was way overpriced. We paid 200 for the room where 100 would still have been too much. It was a simple hotel with a very small room and even smaller facilities worth 70 or 80 € per night. Everything worked and the people were nice but I won't go there again if I have the choice and I don't recommend it to anybody for that price.

The internet connection was horrible.

Expected quality for price. Breakfast was surprisingly good for such a small hotel. Quiet rooms, relatively spacious.

A bit out of the centre (we knew it when booking)

The main thing I enjoyed of staying at Hotel Hesse was it's personnel kindness and sincere will to provide a good service. I felt well received. The location is good, not far from the train station yet the rooms where very quiet. Proximit to restaurants and transportation made my stay even easier.

Good to know: not a 24 hours hotel, require the key to enter after 10pm, can be a little problem for late arrivals of other members of a party.

the service was second to none, the staff were very friendly, and were always available, I would book again without hesitation.

nice hotel, pleasant stay

Hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Dom with many restaurants nearby. Parking is nearby, but costs 7e per day. Breakfast and wifi were included in my rate, which made for a good deal. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection, including hot eggs and bacon. Once you logged in to wifi, you stayed on, and there were no data limits. This was a luxury for Germany! It's a typical hotel for Europe that is near city center, so long as you want the basics. No frills!

Rooms are very small. My non smoking room was next door to a smoker, so it may as well have been smoking. Walls are thin, so I heard him snore too. My pert ears room on the garden side was larger, had a nice fire escape, and was very quiet. Recommend requesting that side.

Nothing is good about this place - at best a Eur 10 Hostel (which to my recollection does not exist)

- Mold in Bathroom - Damp, smelly walls - Dust on everything has turned into smeary dirt as not been cleaned for a very long time - Yellowish old bed sheets that hardly covered mattress - Mattress can not be called a mattress / zero comfort. Better off lieing on the 30yr old carpet floor if it wasnt so filthy/dirty - At Eur 70 ridicuously overpriced for such unacceptable quality - one has to open the windows to sustain room smell but then noisiness of the street prevents you from sleeping ... Certainly a memorable experience albeit one that I would aim to avoid by more carefully choosing hotels next time ...
