The location was just a five minute walk from the station. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean and tidy, with towels replaced on the second morning. The breakfast was quite good.
The man on reception when we were checking in, and out, was rather unfriendly- to the point of being quite rude! We saw 2 other men on reception over the weekend, and they were lovely and friendly though. There was a steep and quite high staircase from reception up to the 1st floor (where the lift was) which was rather daunting. The hotel appeared to be in a somewhat 'red light' area- surrounded by sex shops and 'working girls'! We also witnessed drug use in shop doorways. This could be a bit intimidating if on your own.
We liked location, very close to train station. Good breakfast
It is necessary to climb a steep flight of stairs before gaining access to the lift.
it was worst trip in my life, the receptionist were horrible and not good, they even didn't give me clear picture about the places that I can visit, they didn't smile even at least one time all the time angry and miserable, in the the room it was nothing to drink !!! and in the breakfast the bread was like from more than one month I couldn't eat it ... it's last time try to visit this hotel
No elevator, you have to carry your luggage upstairs The area is next to the main station. And so it looks.
Value for money was good, room and breakfast for a good price. Location is 2 minutes from the bus station and main train station.
The street has lots of sex shops and a lot of working girls up and down the street. Although this was very evident I did not have any problems and did not feel unsafe at any time.
Not as advertised, while we knew that it was near the train staion and in a rough area, we chose to spend more money on a decent place. It cost us 118 euros and was worth maybe 70. Booked trough booking.com and had some questions which booking ,com got back to say the hotel would not get back to me.Tried to phone twice waste of time. We are experienced travellers and not weenys. Do not stay here
Room was clean and comfortable.
The area around the Hauptbahnhof is certainly NOT a good place to stay for a family with children, who might wonder, what the many drug-addicts or prostitues are doing there all day and night...
The very short distance to the train station. The room we got was clean but smelled of cigarette even though it was a non-smoking room!
Walking up on that high and narrow stairs to get to the first floor where the elevator is. It's really a bit of a problem if you have a heavy luggage or luggages because there's no one at the front desk who's going to help you. This hotel is ok if you're just carrying a back pack with you!
Hotel was very central and close to the central station and large shopping streets. Breakfast was satisfying.
Even though agreement was to pay upon arrival, they debited my account when book 1 month prior to the stay. The area was not that quiet with lot´s of casino´s, sex kino´s and prostitutes
The location was great as we had an early train the next morning. The room was comfortable but in need of some tarting up.
The place is like a warren with folks skulking on every corner. If you're upstairs you have to walk up steep stairs to a lift then walk down stairs to your room. The door didn't fit properly so had to be slammed. The area had a lot of junkies late at night.
Close to Railway Station
Had to climb stairs to use the elevator.
hearty breakfast near central station
room full of cobwebs rooms and carpets are old lots of stairs from recpetion
Staff and location.
The central location
The wifi was terrible and completely useless for a business traveller, the area is dodgy (though close to centre), the lift only moved between the second and fourth floors which is no good if you're staying on the fifth, there was no lighting after dark on the stairs between the fourth and fifth floors which was frankly dangerous, and the curtains were completely hopeless at darkening the room in a bright district making sleep very challenging
Rude stuff, smelly and dark room, horrible internet connection...spooky hotel.
there was no wifi despite been told on the website
Nearness to main rail station.( 8 minute walk). Good breakfast.
Small room in need of a face-lift. Room too warm despite moderate outside temperatures. No air conditioning - strongly advise against high summer stays. Noisy during the night from either homeless people or, possibly, taxi drivers. Hotel management really should do something about this rowdy behaviour through the night. Wi-Fi access has to be renewed every day and had bandwidth problems. At 79 euros per night, too expensive, in my opinion, for the standard of accommodation
No guests after 18:00. Silly. There was only 1 iron with NO ironing board. Wifi only works for ONE device. If you want another, it costs €6! It's by a semi-red light district, which one wouldn't know going to Hamburg for the first time. If that's your thing, great. Otherwise...Noise levels were also hence quite high. Definitely not a 'hotel', more like a bed and breakfast.
Liked the location, it was close to the train station. The breakfast buffet was very good.
Minimalist to the max, but great value.
Hotel was clean and very suitable for a one night stay Breakfast was excellent.
The stairs were rather steep for me - an elderly partially disabled person
Not expensive, close to the HBF
Distance to Hbf
Room quite spacious and pleasant. Nice breakfast buffet included in price. Walking distance to Central Station and many points of interest. Reasonable value for money for budget travelers.
Hotel appears tattered, battered and devoid of any charm. Located in a sleazy Third-worldish red light neighborhood. Not quite up to our expectations of German cleanliness.
Good breakfast and friendly personnel in the kitchen.
Loud vicinity (many night clubs opened till morning hours), a lot of drunkards, rubbish lying on the street, not quite friendly personnel at the reception desk.
