Hip Hotel

The bath room furnishings, particularly the bath, were glamorous but quite non-utilitarian. Our room, the Heidelburg, had a cold atmosphere despite the lovely balcony.

Wireless Internet in the room would have been an advantage.

The service and room quality is not up to a 4 star hotel per the ranking and price, it is more like a 2 or just 3 star place. So whilst nothing is unpleasant about the place or service it is poor value for money.

No air conditioning in room....which made for loud evenings. Need to declare that when checking in because windows had to stay open

Awesome location and amazingly decorated humungous rooms - great bed and great pillows.

No a/c in the rooms but that's Europe I guess.. Our room had an oscillating fan that definitely made a world of difference.

The friendliness/helpfulness of the hotel and the restaurant staff. The location couldn't have been better for shopping and ambience. The theme and the design of the hotel gave it added interest and design elements. The 6 adults in our group loved it!

Not a dislike but something to mention: We drove into Heidelberg expecting to get lost but we really got lost! The directions were hard to follow because the hotel is located on a walking street in the historic part of town. Perhaps hotel could mention this when giving directions.

We were welcomed with a drink in the bar (this usually only comes with expensive lodges in Africa in our experience) and a very informative barman who told us about Heidelberg. The hotel was fantastic. We travelled with our children and when they saw our New York room, they were in heaven - Times Square wallpaper, a big red fridge, and so much attention to detail.

We were shown other rooms and have to admit it is one of the most unusual hotels we have seen - a real treat and you could return over and over without repeating the same hotel room experience. A breakfast fit for a king with champagne for bucks fizz if you liked ! Heaven !

Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen, Ungewohnliches Zimmerdesign fanden wir gut. Bad mit Bidet fanden wir besonders gut. Gute Lage, leider kein Parking. Essen im Restaurant gut, Frühstück sehr gut.
